F*ck Chase

The plan today was to go to the grocery store, buy some wine and some produce, and have a nice vegan lunch and dinner, followed by some very non-vegan homemade Heath Bar Crunch or Cherry Garcia. Unfortunately, Chase bank was closed today to celebrate black people or something, AKA I couldn't really do ANYTHING because I haven't had cash for over a month and a half. But instead of being pissed I broke out the Cul 1150 packet and made some homemade baguettes and drank the last of the PBR. I just wish my beer would ferment as quickly as my bread did. I also considered buying some winemaking equipment, but turns out I'd have to get a whole new kit. Although it might be worth it, I can only keep so much equipment in my closet.

On the plus side, I realized that I can ferment 2 beers at one time if I use both my carboy AND bottling bucket to ferment. With that in mind, I ordered an Irish Red Ale kit and a High-Graviy Ale kit today so that while my British Bitter is in the bottle conditioning, I can make 2 more batches! That's 10 GALLONS of beer! Hurrah! If you live in the Chicagoland area and would like a complimentary sample of these fine craft beers, hit me up, because I'm having a tasting party as soon as the first batch is done in about 4 weeks.

Long story short: Ben and Jerry's turned into frozen milk, cream, and sugar, Lunch turned into Bread and Pintos, and wine turned into PBR. Maybe I'll try a pbr float for dessert...
