Unfortunately, I have not yet learned to make a picture post. You'll have to survive with text ones from me for a little longer.
Soo, I went on an adventure yesterday, with my family.
The adventure begins at 5:30 am, when we all get up.
WE leave, and catch the 7:00 ferry to Tsawassen.
WE're going to a wedding, which starts at 11.
we only get lost twice on the way there, but buying a MAP saves the day.
We arrive at about 10:30, lots of time to spare.
I mean it. LOTS.
See, there endedup being an accident on a bridge, fortunately happened after we got there.
Unfortunately, the Wedding Party (BRIDE) was stuck in the chaos. SHe was going over the bridge to coquitlam to pick up the rest of her bridesmaids. ANd then she had to come back. The wedding started an hour late. Tough waiting for the groom, i could imagine.
A little info on the wedding. The groom was a student who had stayed at our house for a couple years when I was younger. He's also the nephew of my mom's best friend.
The service was in 2 parts. There was the traditional english ceremony, with tears by the bride and the audience (like my mother), and then there was persian part, that was hard to hear, but involved blowing bubbles. And we had to leave before the doves were to be released.
WE left to go catch a ferry. The 3:00 to Nanaimo from horseshoe bay. WE originally had reserved for the 5:00, but that would get us late to the party.
So we arrived at just after 2. SOunds like good timing.
Except, due to a medical emergency, the ferry would be delayed for an hour and a half.
Good thing we were early, huh?
SO we ate on the ferry, and missed the dinner part of the party. I was actually full, which is rare.
It was my grandpa's 75th Birthday. Soo, like family get together. Except it got kind of awkward when he did his speech thing. He was all talking about not being breastfed, and potty trained by a woman, and how that has since affected his life. especially the breastfeeding cause then he went on to say how he was so much more productive when later on, he had free and unlimited access to breasts, and how much more productive he was, like his 7 kids.
Then he started introducing his offspring. I only mention this, because one of my cousins, who recently had a child, was absent when her name was called. When asked where she was, the answer was "Breastfeeding." Coincidence? I have yet to decide.
Well the party ended. The old people got tired and went home. So did we. The 2 hour drive got us back around midnight.
It was a good time to sleep.
Most of my family was pretty frustrated about the waits and disruptions and such. I didn't care enough to be. I was too tired. The trip was a half failure. we saw what we wanted, it just didnt go as planned.
Until my next adventure, so long, and thanks for all the fish.
