Shots fired on the I-405. (that's right, just down the street from us.)

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Shots were fired as police stopped a stolen car on an Interstate 405 onramp in south Bellevue this afternoon and arrested a man.

The Washington State Patrol told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the suspect stole a so-called "bait car" that was left at Bellevue Community College.

Shots rang out during a pursuit of the vehicle on Lake Washington Boulevard.

Chopper 7 video showed patrol cars surrounding a red car on the onramp from 112th to I-405. A man -- presumably the driver of the stolen car -- was in the back of a patrol car.

Medics later put the man onto a stretcher and loaded him into the back of a medic unit, Chopper 7 video showed. He had a bandage on his head.

There were unconfirmed reports he suffered a minor gunshot wound.

Traffic in the southbound direction of I-405 was temporarily closed after the incident.
