Darn storm.
So the storm that went through last Thursday took out the cable at our place. It has yet to come back on. Now, I do count myself lucky in the fact that we do still have power, and thus heat and hot water. But I am so bored with out the internet. I have been watching movies all day and cleaning the house. I only have internet now because I came into the Bellevue Boeing campus to do a outage on some systems, but there is not much that I can do on it besides html items.
It is crazy here. The gas stations have lines around the block, and people are waiting two hours or more to get to the pumps. I am so glad that I filled up in Auburn yesterday morning before I went to work. People are hitting the stores like a hurricane is coming. I guess the best way to describe this place and events is the way that Dell, our upstairs neighbor (who is moving out this weekend), put it, "The Apocalypse hit, and I must have slept through it." So what can I say...Full tank of gas, warm house, work with power just down the street...now, if just the cable would come back on.
