Will I ever be able to say I had a good time after a date?

Is it possible to have a good time? Or is it another urban myth like perfect front yards and white picket fences. Is it a cliche that everyone promotes? The purported "good time" before the funk actually begins?

As for me I have never been able to say that to someone who I haven't been friends with.

So i guess going out with someone and having a good time requires that relaxation be a part of the whole scenario. How relaxed are we with strangers though? Does it come naturally if you're a certain type of person or a person who knows what they want or even what they're getting?

Is it better to get into a situation knowing what's going to happen and then work towards it?

Maybe I just lack enjoyment skills.
