Dir en Grey in NYC

Well, I am finally back at school now. I am so sad that it is all over now and I probably won't have a chance to see them live again for a while. Everytime I see them live I just fall more in love with them and their music. I am hoping that they will either come back to the US again soon or have a tour in Japan next spring when I hope to be in Japan. It would suck if they decided to do another tour when I am in Japan though. Knowing my luck that is what is going to happen.

Anyways, Thursday after the Boston show I didn't really do much. I felt a little sick from sitting in the cold for so long and my ear was still ringing loudly from the show. Then just to add to all of more bruises from the show I fell down the stairs and slammed my back into the stairs. Not fun. So I have had a really bad bruise on my back for several days now. The next morning Bonnie and I got up fairly early to go into Boston to catch our bus to NYC. When we got to NYC we dropped our stuff of at our Aunts and went down to chinatown again for bubble tea and to look at a few stores down there. After that we went back uptown to eat at this little Korean place on 32nd. So good! It was still early-ish when we finished there so we decided to go to karaoke at karaoke duet's new location. Unfortunatly, karaoke duet seem much busier than it used to be so we left them with our number so they could call us when they have an open room. So we walked down to Times Square where we went to Sephora and then starbucks. Around 11pm the karaoke place called and we ran over there to sing for a while. It was really fun because I hadn't been in so long. Neither Bonnie nor I could sing very well though because we were still kind of sick and our ears were still ringing a little. We enjoyed ourselves though. around 12:30 we decided to head back to the apartment.

The next morning we got kind of a late start and went out to Brunch at Cafe Zaiya. Then we looked around in Book Off for a little while before we decided to go meet a friend in line for the concert at around 12:30. When we got to the line it was already pretty long. It was very very cold (but still warmer than Boston) and I pretty much stood the whole time so it wasn't too pleasant. I had to keep running into the bank of america to warm up. At around 5 we went to drop our bags and jackets in the hotel room and then proceeded to stand outside in the cold in just sweaters for about an hour or so. We finally got into the theater at 6:20 and rushed toward the stage to get our spot. We checked out the balcony toward the back but we decided it was too far back and went in the pit instead. Not a good idea. The pit got really crazy. People were already pushing and the concert hadn't even started yet.

Bleed the dream came on at about 7:30 and that is when the pit started to get really crazy. I didn't even really listen to them this time because I was concentrating so hard on not falling. I got separated from Bonnie and found myself up in the 3rd row or so when I started in the 6th or 7th. There apparently were this jerks that pushing a lot and things got pretty crazy towards the front. I almost fell over countless times and it got kind of hard to breathe because we were all packed so tightly together. Finally when Bleed the Dream finished we tried to get people to back up but keep just pushing. A guy next to me was helping someone get out so I just followed them and Bonnie did as well. Bonnie and I went to this little balcony thing on the side. I couldn't really see all that well but it was a hell of a lot nicer than the pit. I swear, during the concert probably 20 or 30 people had to pulled out by security.

I was really excited when diru came on. They were really energetic for this show. Toshiya especially. He was all over the stage. At one point he came really close to where we were and we all freaked. Die also came over by us which was really excited because I have been far away from him at all the diru concerts I have been to. The encore was especially good because they were all moving around a lot and seemed to be really having a good time. I even saw Kaoru smile to Die one time when they were switching sides and I nearly swooned.

The show ended a bit later this time because they started later than they had been. We went back to the hotel to pick up our stuff and then Bonnie and I decided that we had to sit down and eat something because the last time we had eaten was at 11am. So when went over to a Sbarro and had some pizza. Then we dragged our sore legs and feet back to the apartament and climbed into bed.

Sunday morning we got ready and packed and then went down to Chinatown for some dimsum and bubble tea for the last time. When we finished we came back uptown and I caught a 3pm bus back to easton. Now I am back at school and want to go back in time to Tuesday. I could seriously watch them perform so many more times. They are just great live. Now I am back to the same old routine and probably should start doing work now...Blah.
