As my dear LJ-land friends, I expect complete honesty and helpfulness from you (And I'm rarely disappointed). I'm about to enter the semi-excrutiating world of Online dating again, and I'd like any possible advice you are willing to give with regards to my online ad. Here's what I've got:
About Me
Funny, sexy, smart as well as smart assed, outgoing single novelist seeks a man who can help write a great love story. I'm a true believer in true love, but I'm realistic enough to know it takes two halves to equal a whole. I'm looking for someone who will accept me for who I am and encourage me to be even better. I love a lot of the usual things like movies, music, dancing, travel, great books and more, as well the more exotic like SCUBA diving, rock climbing, backpacking and X-treme karaoke. I'm creative and analytical, musically inclined, crafty and clever. My best friends cite quick wit, infectious laugh, vivacity, warmth and sincerity among my better qualities. I'm owned by a dog and a cat and dutifully demonstrate my allegiance to them by refusing to date anyone who's anti-fur-child or allergic.
I make a very good living as a computer nerd, aspire to be a full-time novelist, and have an interesting career path that has veered wildly like the trail of a drunken monkey. (In my early twenties, I did everything from secretarial work to food service, phone sales to singing telegrams.)
About You
My perfect match is adventurous, into physical activity, intelligent, a little wild, and likes curvaceous women. He's passionate about his interests (and me), and shows a gentlemanly side when the situation calls for it. He has a reasonably lucrative career that makes him feel satisfied (but not obsessive) or is working toward that goal. He likes most kinds of music, will watch the occasional "chick flick" (even if he's just humoring me), happily drags me to the woods/jungle/ocean (without trying to out-pace me) and loves my pets. He's affectionate, reasonably attractive, has a great smile that he flashes often and a wicked sense of humor.
Any suggestions?
