5. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: Chicago, probably. I'm hoping to live there soon, anyway. However, I'm a big theatre whore and Chicago is a great place for theatre. I'd get eaten by New York and California is more for aspiring screen-actors (which I despise doing)...Chicago just feels right for me.
6. Explain the significance/meaning/origin of your username: It's the title for a song by The White Tie Affair. I just liked it. I do that with many usernames (i.e. LikeANightlight (from Repo!'s "Needle Through a Bug") for my IJ)
7. What's your favourite holiday, and why?: Halloween. It's just fun and I don't have to deal with my family. Plus, hello? Theatre whore? Any excuse to dress up and be someone not me.
8. Favourite three books (besides Harry Potter): Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Lewis Carroll); The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde); 1984 (George Orwell)
9. What is or was your favourite and or best subject in school? English.
10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be? Did Fred find George's ear in the afterlife and use it to communicate with him from the beyond? You know what? Don't answer. I need to believe this to be true.
11. Which of the Harry Potter books is your favourite, and why?: Usually I'd say PoA in a heartbeat, but I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe the last one because it came full circle in so many ways.: things we didn't even remember reading from the first book came back to be so very significant in ways that left us in complete awe, giving that constant feeling of "She's been setting this up since book one.' It was just overwhelming.
12. If you could have the power to perform one spell, and only one spell, absolutely flawlessly for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? Finite Incantatem. CAN'T USE YOUR POWERS AGAINST ME NOW, CAN YOU? Who cares if I mess up when using other spells? If I can stop the other person's spells flawlessly every time, I get more chances to get the other spells right.
13. What House do you honestly think you'd end up in, and why?: I honestly couldn't tell you. I think Hufflepuff, because of the whole "the rest" bit. I'm not particularly clever or brave or cunning, so I'd think I'd be sort of leftover and I am a hard worker...when it benefits me. Which is where my inner Slytherin comes in. Then again, sometimes I go back and read things I've written and am shocked by how intelligent I can be when I want to be. My friends all sort of laugh when I say I'm not particularly daring, so I guess they see something I don't see. I could tell you based on my vision of myself, but it may not be the answer.
14. Are you willing to accept cross-gendered votes/stamps?: Sure.
15. Anything else we should know?:
- I'm at my most comfortable when I'm barefoot, in jeans, and wearing a sports bra (no top)
- I'm no longer allowed to proofread my younger brother's essays because I once laughed so hard that I started crying when he tried to explain his phrasing of a sentence over which I'd experienced some confusion.
- The photos I provided were taken within two or three months of each other. How much a haircut can change the outer us!
