5. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: Japan because I was lucky enough to be accepted for a two-week student exchange. The weather was wonderful. The people were pleasant. The culture was really interesting. Two weeks just wasn't enough.
6. Explain the significance/meaning/origin of your username: I'm the kind of girl that wants world peace, prides herself in her vegetarianism, and is rather concerned about the planet. My friends have thus dubbed me a hippie, and I guess I kind of like it. ^-^ 'Land' was just something extra to tack on.
7. What's your favourite holiday, and why?: I am really fond of Christmas. When I was a child, my family would travel up to South Dakota from North Dakota to spend Christmas vacation with my grandparents. Uncles, cousins, and other relatives came up, too, and so we always had these really large family gatherings. Whenever the holiday comes around, I always think of the beautifully decorated tree with the mountain of presents underneath, the warmth from the kitchen, and the excellent mashed potatoes. Christmas isn't like that anymore, though. :(
8. Favourite three books (besides Harry Potter): The Meredith Gentry series by Laurell K Hamilton, the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, and the collection of Hans Christian Andersen tales that I have,.
9. What is or was your favourite and or best subject in school? Definitely English. I'm a nerd of sorts on that topic.
10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be? I guess how she walked herself through the process of writing and getting published. I LOVE to write and am currently working on a novel of my own, but it can be really trying and stressful sometimes, and I have a tendency to give up easily.
11. Which of the Harry Potter books is your favourite, and why?: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. Before that book came out, it was PoA, but the finale of the series was absolutely beautiful. I was crying. I was laughing. I was falling in love with characters I'd hated in the past and questioning the characters I had come to love. It was a work of art and literally had me on the edge of my seat the entire...14? hours I spent reading it?
12. If you could have the power to perform one spell, and only one spell, absolutely flawlessly for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? Episkey... I'm rather clumsy, so I end up hurting myself a lot. xD And if I couldn't perform that spell PERFECTLY, it would probably...end up...disastrous...
13. What House do you honestly think you'd end up in, and why?: I think I'd end up in Hufflepuff because I hold what it values to my heart. I think loyalty, fairness, and a good work ethic are incredible traits to possess and are ultimately what I hope to achieve myself.
14. Are you willing to accept cross-gendered votes/stamps?: There's probably a little man inside me, so why not?
15. Anything else we should know?: Not really... I would say that while I'm incredibly average, I'm also a little too goofy for my own good. :P And I have a little bit of everything inside me, which I'm sure is normal for most everyone.
