5. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: Nova Scotia, Canada. I heart Canada. Nova Scotia seems cool and totally different. I love the accents. Maritime provinces rock. Besides, it’s only for a year. After that I’d be more than happy to jet back to Michigan.

7. What's your favourite holiday, and why?: Halloween… love to dress up in costumes, love the cold, windy, autumn weather.
8. Favourite three books (besides Harry Potter): Once and Future King by TH White, Horatio Hornblower series by CS Forester, and Trinity by Leon Uris
9. What is or was your favourite and or best subject in school? In college my best subjects were design and choir (so easy!) in high school they were choir and history. I didn’t like the classes that were hard for me. I prefer to just breeze through a class, and I always appreciated the classes whose teachers appreciated me.
10. Why are you a HP fan? Well, because I’m a sci-fi/fantasy geek. Harry Potter creates a whole new universe, and those are my favourite sorts of books and movies. I love the whole fantasy idea, and the idea that a whole magical world could exist. I also love JK Rowling’s writing style, and I think the whole series is just pretty. I mean, the house color combinations, the movies, everything, it’s just visually appealing.
11. Which of the Harry Potter books thus far was your favourite, and why?: Order of the Phoenix. It’s got the most character development of minor characters. The minor characters in Harry Potter make me SO happy. Love Seamus Finnegan, LOVE the Patil twins.
12. What would the core of your wand be?: (and be creative; I know JKR said there are only three wand cores, but frankly I think she’s being boring. Check out The Bestiary and have some fun with it)
Definitely sphinx hair core. I had to look for a long time because my ruling element is definitely earth, not air (and there were many birds) or water (and there were many sea creatures). Sphinx hair would probably make for the core of a wand that would be good for mysterious sorts of magic, and I’m pretty sure I’d always be experimenting with new charms or potions.
13. What House do you honestly think you’d end up in, and why?: Hmm, probably Slytherin. I was definitely born with all the advantages (like Sltytherins), and my parents taught me that I could do anything. As a result I can be pretty cocky (I might see myself as outside the rules) and when I see something I want I go for it (though this pertains more to my personal ambitions then my professional ones).
Sorting communities tend to place me in other houses besides Slytherin (I’ve been voted into Slytherin once and Hufflepuff once, but multiple times for Ravenclaw and Gryffindor), but my friends say I’m a Slytherin and they know better than those who only are looking at select aspects of my personality.
14. Are you willing to accept cross-gendered votes/stamps?: Yeah, totally. That’s hot. ^_^
15. Anything else we should know?: I’m a passionate person. Very much in love, very much wanting a family. And a more practical thing, I have another lj name which is it_burns_us. If my username didn’t look familiar, but my answers to some of the questions did, that could be why.
