Cats is smrt.
Stan did something today that he's done many times in the past, but only today did I actually connect any significance to it. He jumped up on the toilette and started meowing. I used to think it was one of the ways to tell me he wanted his bath, but this time, not only is it 9am (bathtime is at night) but I also forgot to drain the tub last night. It's still got water in it. If he wanted to splash around, he'd just do it.
And then it hit me: he's sitting on the toilette, where I POOP! I check, and sure enough, his litter box is full. He's got an enclosed litter box (he has a tendency to throw his litter around when he's burying) so I have to take the lid off to check, something I probably don't do nearly often enough. But now that I understand, that should be less of a problem. Now that his box is clean, he's happy again. He so smart. :)
