“I'll be Okay Jin, I'm just going out for a little night skiing” Ryo said as he pulled on his cote and grabbed his skis that were by the door.

“But the park ranger said there there was a snowstorm coming in and I don't want you to get caught in it” Jin said as he watched Ryo Pull on his ski boots now.

“I'll be back way before that storm set's in, see you... oh and I don't wanna come back to you and Yamapi Doing you know what in the front room again okay” Ryo then pulled open the front door and stepped outside in to the cold night air.

He pulled up is ski mask to cover his nose and mouth so the he could breath the frigid air better, before he made his way to the ski-lift.

He had no idea what made him come with Jin and Yamapi in the first place. He knew they were going to spend all there time in the cabin anyway and that he really was only in the way of them. But who was he to give up a free ski trip.

When he reached the Ski-lift he saw that the operator was getting it read to shot down.

“Hold on!” Ryo called out to get the man's attention.

“Can you send me up before you shut down?” Ryo Asked when he reached the man.

“you do know there's a storm coming in a few hours” the mad said.

“Yeah but I'll be back before it hits” Ryo stated with confidence.

“i don't know Man people have gone up at night and not come back, I would hate for you to be one of them” The guy said.”

“I'll be find Just ship me up and I'll be back down here before you know, and in my cabin okay” Ryo was getting a tad irritated now, he just wanted one more run down the mountain.

“Uhmmm...Fine, but don't blame me if you go missing” and with That Ryo hopped up onto the lift and the man started it up.

By the time Ryo was all the way at the top the wind had picked up a bit and and snow was lightly falling around him. He got off the lift and made his way over to the path.

By the time he was ready to head down the snow had started to fall harder, but Ryo wasn't going to let that stop him. And pulling down his ski goggles he pushed off.

As Ryo started he flight down the mountain the snow got heaver and the wind picked up making it hard for him to see in front of him.

As he was Trying to slow his dissent so he could see better he didn't see a tree that had fallen across the ski slop's path and hit it.

The force of the collision sent him flying Head over hill, throwing him into the the snow a good few feet from the tree, and snapping one of his ski's from his foot and sending it flying too.

He tumble down in the snow before coming to a stop.

He groaned out in pain as he tried to push himself upright, he hurt every were. And when he try to pull himself up he let out a yelp. His right ankle hurt like hell and he couldn't bring himself to stand on it.

Ryo cursed every thing he could think of, as the snow got heaver and the wind pulled at him making him shiver.

He needed to try and get out of this storm soon or he would freeze to death.

He pulled himself to his feet despite the the pain in his ankle that made him cry out every time he put his weight on it, and started to trudge though the snow.

Ryo didn't get far before the pain and the cold became to much, making his vision become blurry and head spin. His breathing became labored with each step he took and he didn't know if it was a bad thing that he couldn't fill the pain in his foot anymore.

Ryo didn't get much farther before his whole world turned black.

Jin was standing at the window looking out at the blizzard that was tearing at the trees, making them sway to and fro.

Jin was worried about Ryo, it had been over a hour now and he still had not come back.

Just as he let out a sigh just as a pair of arms came and wrapped around his waist from behind.

“Tomo, I'm worried about Ryo he isn't back yet” Jin turned in his boyfriends embrace to look in his lovers eye.

“Don't worry, I'm sure Ryo tougher then that little bit wind” Yamapi said as his stole a look out the window him self.

He was also worried.

When Ryo opened his eye's again he fond himself laying down with something soft under his head, looking up at what seemed to be a rock ceiling, and it was bathed in a soft orange light.

As Ryo became more aware of his surrounding he saw that he was in a cave and the howling blizzard was out side the mouth of it, and when he pushed himself up a bit he saw a fire cracking and popping not far from him. And sitting right by the fire was young man, with copper hair that almost touched his shoulders and with the light from the fire making it look like it was glowing.

Ryo thought that the man must have sensed him watching him as he turned his head to look at Ryo.

“You're awake” The man exclaimed as he got up and came over to Ryo to check on him. “Anything hurt? I don't think you have frostbite but we should check to make sure.”

“Um I hurt my ankle but I don't think I have frostbite, I can still fill my toes” Ryo replied.

“Ahh that's Good then, I was worried when I fond you out there, I thought you might be dead. Ohh and before I forget me name is Ueda Tatsuya.”

“Well thank you for rescuing me Ueda-san, I'm Nishikido Ryo” and with that Ryo put his hand out for a handshake and the other grabbed it and gave him a firm shake.

“Lets move you closer to the fire now” Ueda help Ryo get up and limp or to the warm fire and sat him down before take up his seat right next to him.

“So can I ask you why you were out in a blizzard like that?” Ueda asked as he put another peace of wood on the fire.

“Ahaha... I was skiing” Ryo admitted. “probably not the best idea When I now there was going to be a storm huh?”

“Not the best, no.” Ueda said bluntly poking at the fire with a stick now, turning over the hot coal.

“And what about you? Why were you out in this?”Ryo ask with a raised eyebrow.

“I live here, so I was just... out for a walk” Ueda replied with a small smile.

“Ehhhh, you live in a cave!” Ryo couldn't believe what the man beside him was saying.

Ueda looked over at the flabbergasted man next to him and couldn't help but let out a laugh.“No I don't, but I do live up here on the mountain”

“Oh...” Ryo couldn't help but fill a little sheepish from thinking that the pretty man beside his lived in a cave.

Wait, did he just think of the guy right next to him as pretty? Ryo shook his head, no he didn't think that. Maybe it was just the cold getting to his brain, Yeah that must be it. And with that thought he crept closer to the fire in hopes of thawing it out.

They sat there next to each other with the fire before them burning give them heat. Nether one seemed to know to know what to say so they didn't say anything at all.

Ryo looked to the mouth of the cave were he could see the wind and the snow blowing fiercely out there. He shuddered at the thought that he could still be out there (most likely dead by now) if Ueda had not picked him up.

“Umm...Ueda-san” Ryo called out.

“Umm yes?” Ueda said looking over at Ryo.

“I just wanted to thank you for saving me I'm sure I wouldn't have lived thew that”Ryo said.

“No problem, I'm just glade I could help you” Ueda said before turning his eyes back to the fire.

Silence Came over the two again, but it was a peaceful one.

But Ryo still couldn't help but wonder why Ueda would be out in such a storm.

“Ueda-san?” Ryo called again.

“Un” Came the reply.

“Why you were walking out in a storm like this.”Ryo asked seeing the other man stiffen at the question.

“I...I just felt like it that's all” Ueda said drawing his knees up to his chest and resting his chine on them.

Ryo took that as a sign of Ueda not wanting to talk about why he was out and about in the 'oh so lovely' weather.

Ryo sat there next to Ueda with his eyes closed trying not to fall asleep, and thinking of how he was going to get back to the cabin with his bum ankle. And if Jin and Yamapi had noticed that he wasn't back yet.

He sure hope they had call for a search party for him and that they would be here soon. He ankle was back to throbbing. Making sure Ryo knew that it was hurt and wasn't going to let him have peace any time soon.

“Nishikido-san”

Ryo snapped his eye's open at the voice of the other next to him wondering what the other wanted.

“yes?”

“Will you remember me once your rescued?” Ueda meet Ryo gaze with a look of longing in his eye's.

Ryo Looked Ueda few a few moments before he let out a soft “yes, of course I will” Watching a small smile make it's way on to the other face before he heard a 'thank you'.

“Nishikido?” Ueda said again.

Ryo looked back to him wondering what next would come from this person.

“You look pale, you should sleep. You can rest you head on me if it help” he almost whispered.

Ryo Not knowing what to say back just nodded before he lade his head down on Ueda's shoulder starting to drift in and out of sleep before going into a dreamless slumber.

It had been a little over A month sense Ryo was rescued from The cave.

And he was now back in the city working full time trying to forget about what had happened on the trip.

When the rescue team had found him he was pasted out all alone in the cave and and going into sever hypothermia. When he had come too at the hospital he asked about Ueda Tatsuya but every one told him he was the only one they fond in the cave. Ryo couldn't believe the other Would just leave him to freeze after he had saved him a first time. But Jin and Yamapi and the rescue time all insisted that there was no one there.

Confused, Ryo tried finding him to see what happened, and what he fond shocked him more.

Two years ago A man by the name of Ueda Tatsuya died out in a big snow storm up at the ski resort. The fond the body in a cave... the same cave that Ryo had been in.

When he fond that out he had no idea what to fill.

But in the end he felt like he needed to say 'thank you' To Ueda.

He fond out were his grave was and today he was going to go there and Pay his respect's to him.

It wasn't a long drive, but Ryo thought it was a sad one.

And when he was standing in front of Ueda Tatsuya's head stone, Ryo couldn't help his tears.

“ I just wanted to say thank you again for saving me, I know I wouldn't have made it out alive with out you. And I just wanted you to know too that I will never forget you. Thank you...Thank you so Much Tatsuya For saving me. I know we will meet again one day.”

And as Ryo stood there with his head bowed,He felt the wind pick up around him. And on the wind he could barely make out The faint whisper the said

“Thank you too Ryo”
