LIMS Extra Guidelines, Byes & Advances
WELCOME TO OUR THIRD LIMS ROUND!!!
Before we begin there are a few things I need to add. PLEASE READ, I don't care how boring or long you might think it is.
First of all I want to explain how I set up this LIMS. These sort of challenges are a great way to improve your work, not only because you tend to put a lot more thought in it when risking elimination (we all know we do ;P), but also because reciving constructive critisism helps you realize those things you're lacking, or perhaps those you have in excess. Because of this I set this LIMS to revolve around different techniques, as challenges go by the techniques will increase in difficulty allowing you to test yourself in different "arenas". Perhaps some of you have already mastered all of these, I do know that there are some incredibly talented iconmakers in here, but for the other it could be a chance to try out some new things and test your limits.
Because of this I will ask you all that when voting you also take into account what the contestants have been asked to focus on. Each challenge will have a very especific theme and, whether or not the makers have been able to follow it, will be as important as if the icon looks good, or if the use of other techniques has been well done. I particularly stress this last point, the LIMS won't work as well if this isn't taken into consideration. This will all be added to the rules post for future reference.
Another thing to take into account is that as we reach the last three challenges or so the number of icons to be submitted will increase from one to two. Although this will only affect a few of you I thought it would be more fair to let you know in advance, this way you all have green card to resign now instead of telling me in a couple months that you don't have time for it. This will also be added to the rules post.
Now that I've set that clear I shall move on to less controversial items.

(*) means the user is on the run for an extra skip.
Italics means the user has already won a skip and can't earn more.
LIMS Advances:
For those of you who know you will be out of town and need an advance on a challenge.
1.) Comment here with the dates you will be out of town.
2.) I will then responde in a screened comment with the challenge in advance. Make sure you recieve email notifications or you won't be able to see my response.
3.) When your entry is ready you need to comment to this post BEFORE YOU LEAVE TOWN!
4.) All regular rules apply. You should include the IMG and SRC tags when commenting.
5.) Your subject line should let me know which challenge you are entering.
6.) All comments will be screened here, just like it would be if you were entering the challenge.
7.) Make sure you do this right! Failure to do so could result in your elimination from the competition... I will let you know if there are any problems.
I'm going to keep the sign ups open until the voting for the first challenge goes up. We've had a few people join at the last minute so I want to give everyone that's still doubting the chance to get in. However once the voting goes up the sign ups will be closed for good and after that I won't accept any newcomers.
If you have any questions reguarding any of this, please comment and I'll get back to you. I want to make sure everything's clear before we start. The first challenge will be posted within the hour.
