Ugh yesterday was a tiring day.

Exam, 1.5 hr drive home, lunch with mom, the much needed/wanted yet dreaded hair chop-off event. 12 inches in a ponytail in my hand, another 2-3 on the floor. Holy short hair batman. Getting used to it, I like how easy it is and how it gets in the way just as much--only this time in my face instead of everywhere else. Everyone else liked it-- Eric said he really liked it granted, he LOVES shortish hair gah. Definately liking how it takes 4 seconds to wash and dry and style it and everything. A bit dark--not used to that, maybe have to bust out some dye sometime soon. Pics maybe at some point--if theres an interest.

But anyway. Then off to Mike's (and Emilio and Felipe's) last home meet, which didn't end up being a meet but that's besides the point. But there was one point that I was really just wowed. In his broken English w/thick Polish accent when Mr. Jaworski comes up and thanks me for teaching his son 3 years ago how to swim. I coached the kid for probably less than 3 weeks, over x-mas break which felt like barely anything. Kid's good now-- 1:04 backstroker, freestyle looks great. He tells me about how for 2 years all Anthony would talk about was how I taught him. A bit later I talked with his dad and Anthony and he was thanking me for helping him be good and then he demonstrated something I taught him one of those days. I just didn't even know what to say, I was amazed. I guess all it takes is one success to make you really want to coach-- that one good kid that keeps you going. Rob always used to say that about me, but now I guess I understand it. I always wanted to coach--sooner than later now. That was just, I don't even know what to say.

In other news, mom decided it'd be a great idea to hook me up with the *gorgeous* diving coach, CJ, from W.Mott. Yeahhh... not even going to think about how I want Adam to give CJ that tacky little scrap of paper with my e-mail. Because then it won't happen...as far as guys go, I'm done.
