I'm going to try to keep from getting too shrill about election stuff, but I did note one thing I do wish to propagate. The McCain/Palin ticket aired a somewhat creepy and subversive take on Barak Obama's support for a bill for age-appropriate sex education for ages K-12. That's... weird. I think that ad wasn't suppose to show a position or even turn people against Obama so much as a big love letter to the religious base McCain still has a hard time being trusted by (but they love Palin).

I also have high expectations of a truly awful campaign ad since McCain/Palin released their first(?) joint ad and it was basically done in the style of a blockbuster action movie trailer complete with kinda over the top announcer. COMING SOON TO A WHITE HOUSE NEAR YOU: MAVERICK AND CORRUPTION PUNISHER (not an actual quote but totally the impression I got). I watched it with my mouth slightly open in disbelieve some test group someplace liked this ad/trailer.
