Strange...
Strange thing happened last week at Billy's Lounge. I was onstage, going through my set, when all of a sudden some dude got up on stage right next to me. That's not really that unheard of, as lots of people there will get up to sing harmony if they know it, and since I was playing a cover tune at the time ("She's Got a Way" by Billy Joel) I thought that's what he was doing. The original version doesn't really HAVE a harmony, so I just kind of braced myself for whatever he was going to do and concentrated on not screwing up the piano.
Instead, he proceeded to just stand there for the entire song, not doing anything. Management came and got him after I'd finished. I decided he was up there for moral support. Though he was probably just drunk. I thanked him for his help, all the same. Who knows? Maybe it did help. I thought it sounded pretty good.
