Friends.. And things..
A month or so ago a close friend from High School looked me up on Myspace. We hadn't spoken or seen each other in that time. He's a Marine, I knew he was, I saw his graduation from training when it hit the newspaper, He's stationed in Iraq on a tour lasting until at least October. He's a staff sgt and has told me bits and pieces about what he does. We've been talking everyday and though I'm extremly supportive of him and so proud of him for the service he is doing for me and my country, I hate war. And I want him home, or at least in Massachutes which is where he's stationed when he's not in combat. I'm spoiled because he has a computer in his office/house thing over there, so he sits there (even though most everything image related is restricted) and talks to me at night before he goes to be and sometimes for a few minutes when he wakes up. I hear about about the ins and outs of what's going on, or at least what he's allowed to speak about. We basically picked up where we left off seven years ago, it's like that time never really passed by, and I'm happy to have my friend back in my life.
This week I'll start hardcore job hunting, I've been looking just not driving myself crazy with it, until I got through with this month. I'm back on the bandwagon this week, at least something part time to supplement all the other things I'm doing right now...
Chris is living with me again.. His other roommates are expecting and needed their bedroom for their little one to be. He had no where to go, so he asked to stay on a temporary basis. So he's here and he got a job (two actually). He's been told to be out by the end of September... We'll see how it goes...
I went to Viet. Food and Sushi the last three days. It makes me me Rob. Rob I miss you! No one else wants to eat wierd food with me... I drank farrrrrr too much saki yesterday though.
Anyway, I think that's an update! Look at my new layout, oooohhh pretty!
