Characters: Violet and Bucky Content: Bucky roping her in for a date. Someone is not happy about this thing called 'fun'. ( Come on, just a little bit closer )
AHA, A WILD BUCKY FINALLY APPEARS.blue_sniperNovember 17 2011, 22:53:07 UTC
Bucky was walking across the square, heading to a date with a cute blonde, when he saw Violet, walking down the street with a steaming cup of probably coffee. He quickly crossed the street, completely forgetting about his date. he didn't like the dame anyway. She was a bit too ditzy for him.
"Coffee or hot chocolate?" he asked as he drew up next to her.

She really wasn't expecting to see him. Sparing him a small look, Violet looked back at her cup and decided to move to sit at a wall. She supposed he was welcome if he wished.
"Coffee." She replied before taking a sip.
Some couples were together around the square. Some window shopping, some just walking, and some admiring the Christmas atmosphere. Violet liked coming here since she knew her father used to take her mother.

She pushed herself up on the wall, letting her feet dangle. Of course he'd ask that. "I got done early today. Rare thing. Klaus has the girls, so I decided to walk around a bit." She said, eyes on everybody but him.

She finally looked back at him. She didn't look happy. "I don't go out on the town." It wasn't a refusal. He just had to be specific. Of all the people to run into on her first and only evening off. It really figured.
A stubborn girl like her wasn't going to just cater to him. Though maybe this was a part of the chase.
oh jeez good luckwittybaudelaireNovember 18 2011, 04:08:53 UTC
She pushed back a few bangs and looked over at him. "No. Never had the opportunity tto learn. I watched my mom and dad growing up. They used to come here a lot." She gestured with a nod to the square.
He was a persistent one. If she was learning something, perhaps she'd take him up on it. Though being public did bother her a little.

"Well, then, I could teach you. I have a lot of experience." Just one dance with her. He wanted to see her smile, actually smile for once. She was too much of a stick-in-the-mud for her own good.
oof. well I'll have my fingers and toes crossedwittybaudelaireNovember 18 2011, 04:41:32 UTC
She crossed her arms and looked at him. "You act like that is something to be proud of. I'm not a conquest, Bucky." Violet told him, still holding her ground. If he hadn't said that she may have given in.
She pursed her lips. "You have ulterior motives." But nonethless, she gets up. Violet had always wanted to learn. The memory of parents dancing like they had always reminded her of wholly being in love.
She looked down at their hands and back up at him. "I don't know you well enough to trust you, and you don't know me at all. I can't give you anything. There's a lot you don't know. I'm not trying to be difficult; I'm just someone you don't want to get involved with." She told him honestly. With a past like hers, it was hard to trust outsiders. Would he remember the fire of the hotel almost two years ago?
She was wanted, and the less people knew, the safer they were.
"I'll decide that myself, thanks. I'm not the best person to be around either, you know." he's rescued Steve far too many times to be liked by any of the bigger men in Brooklyn and even beyond. "And anyway, it's just a dance. I'm not asking your life story, Violet."
She looked over at him, peering for awhile. She didn't know why she felt she could trust him, but in that moment she did. "Just for fun then?" Violet asked a little more agreeable.
"Coffee or hot chocolate?" he asked as he drew up next to her.

"Do you know how to dance?" He would love to take her dancing. Maybe swing dancing, or just slow dancing.
