Home Again, Home Again, Dancing a Jig

After a week of complete and utter sloth, the return to campus has been surprisingly pleasant.  I got to see Sheena, even if we didn’t get to play Buffy this week.  People keep double taking at the hair, which is amusing.  I had to miss Physics this morning to work on a UWS paper, then I got to class to find that she decided to move the deadline to Thursday.  It snowed, but it was soft, slushy snow and it is, dare I say it, nice and warm outside.  I finally retrieved my sunglasses from home, so I’m wearing them everywhere.  I think I actually sleep better here than I do at home for some reason.  Aside from that, I still need to unpack, do physics, read 150 or so pages and write a five-page paper by noon tomorrow.  I’ve also finally decided that enough is enough, and I’m working on my health/weight this semester.  I know I’m not overweight and I don’t think I am, but I haven’t gained weight since I stopped growing taller, and since the beginning of the semester I’ve gained ten pounds.  That’s just weird and unacceptable, so I’m now trying to eat less and healthier, and if I CAN FIND MY MP3 PLAYER, I’m going to try to head to the gym off and on.  IF anyone else wants to go, it’s a lot easier to force yourself to do something when it’s an appointment with someone and not just “something I should probably do.”

Speaking of my mp3 player, I had it in my pocket as I walked to Usdan for dinner last night. Now it is gone. I’m horribly panicked and annoyed and will most likely kill someone if I don’t find it soon.

Meanwhile, everyone is talking about next year’s housing situation.  I got 665, so my goals are low.  I’m going to ask for a single in the Castle and be laughed at, then I’m going to ask for a single in Schwartz and get laughed at, then I’m going to attempt to get a single in North.  If I can’t even get that, I’m going to tell them to give me whatever they want (are efficiencies in Grad possible with such a bad number?) and I’ll just crash on someone’s floor.  If someone wants to pull me into a double in the Castle, that would be awesome, but I think all my freshmen friends with good numbers already have roomies picked out.  Ah well.  Either I’ll finally have a place to myself or I’ll invest in a sleeping bag and a big backpack and live like a snail.  Should be interesting, either way.

I crave Invisible Man.  And Psych. But mostly I-Man.

Darien Fawkes: There was a mime. I beat the Hell out of a mime. What happened to him? Is he okay?

Robert Hobbes: Relax, he did not recover.

Darien Fawkes: Thank God
