Not that I generally have much interest in sports... I do follow baseball...
Not a lot mind you, and not much during the regular season, unless I'm taking my son to a Cards game... but that brings me to the point... my favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals... always has been, always will be... my second favorite team from childhood, due to their line up and history, is the Boston Red Sox...
I was looking forward to a very heated and wonderful world series, as it would be my two favorite teams playing... as it almost was last year when I ended up having to root (grudgingly) for the Cubs, as who ever is playing against the Yankees is who I have to root for... that aside, I was both happy for the Red Sox today, when I found they had swept the Series, and sad for the Cards... It should have been closer, it could have been closer... but my Red birds just choked... like Boston did last year, so I guess it's fair... but still... I feel somewhat cheated... over too soon.
I'm spent, I'm happy for Boston.... but I just feel unfulfilled...
