I think this is the most invasive thing that I've ever been subjected to. But it could be a lot worse, for my . . . thought-partner, I suppose you'd call her, is clearly a woman of class and intelligence and temperance.
Still, it is unnerving, to have to police one's thoughts this closely. Who isn't used to having the sanctuary of their own mind in which to explore the possibilities of the world before pursuing them in life?
