So apparently Hawaii Five-O fandom is doing a blowout thing today and I don't think I have a lot of friends who watch, but I will offer comment fic, if anyone is interested. :D? :D?

lol I love the idea that Steve could go undercover. I feel like the whole island must know him by sight already, right? lol, anyway, I hope you like this!

"We're undercover," Steve says, low and dragged out until undercover has eight syllables instead of four. And Danny, Danny knows that look. Somewhere between constipated face and aneurysm face, it doesn't have a name yet, but, "No, absolutely not," he says. "No."

"You are going to break our cover and then they are going to shoot you and me, and then," Steve says, hand curled over Danny's cheek, a play at intimacy. "Then I am going to have to pull out my gun and you hate when I pull out my gun."

There are a lot of things Danny could say to that, but what comes out is a cheeky, "Your gun, huh?" that forces a smile out of Steve.

"Do not change the subject, Williams," Steve says, chiding, and Danny grins before sobering.

"You can't just-"

"I can, Danny." Steve's hand on his cheek is firm, and somehow they're closer than they were, how did that happen? Fucking SEALs. His voice drops and he says, low and way too rough, "Danno."

Danny can see it coming, saw it coming from the moment Steve said, "Guess we'll have to go undercover," and gave him that smile, the one that makes Danny's insides twist. Fucking McGarrett.

And of course it's no surprise that Steve is a good kisser, phenomenal. His mouth is firm, his tongue sweeping out to press at the seam of Danny's lips as his hands cage Danny in. He nips lightly at Danny's lower lip and Danny opens up to let him in; go big or go home, right? Steve does everything the wrong way, going undercover or going into a firefight, but this, this is perfect and Danny can't stop the way his hands come up to clutch at Steve's shirt. Pull him closer or push him away, Danny can't decide, and in the end it's Steve who pulls away.

He smiles and says, again, "Danno," and of course, that's when the shooting starts.
