i've seen this around a few times. i thought it was super cool and it will temporariy kill my boredom:

Give me a link to one of my fics, and I'll give you three details that didn't make it into the fic. Background canon, deleted scenes, or a look into the future. My choice, but if you have a specific question you can ask it in your request.

time, ticking on me withoutchange September 4 2011, 18:49:04 UTC
ok, so, i'm just going to do background canon for all three parts. also, amazing jessica icon <3

1. time ticking on me (part one): i had just watched garden state in all its beautiful glory. my favorite movie, ever. then i just wanted to write some flair of life using a broody boy and an optimistic girl, but obviously that worked out totally backwards (ie. jessica and donghae.) before i knew it i whipped out 4000+ words and i don't even know how. i also really wanted to make a fic about home and the small things that make it up, you know? whether it be by the clothes that you wash in the washing machine, a dog with an american name, or just how you wake up one day and realize that you're going to be leaving soon. the whole bus idea was me just making something up to be honest. i needed a significant place which is familiar, but "it's in familiar situations that you can realize the most things." my logic teacher told me that once lol. i also like cathartic fics in which a character is in one place and totally ends up somewhere else.

oh, i also love angst. and haesica.

2. time ticking on me (part two): it took me more than a month to write the second part bc i'm so bad at continuing fics to be honest. continuous fics are fcking hard - i won't lie. you have to collect all your thoughts and connect them and blahblahblah.this part was really hard because now i had to actually develop their relationship through specific moments. no, undoubtedly, writing the second part was the hardest. i had to choose and write things that would show why jessica was starting to care and viceversa. it's difficult to come up with stuff like that lol, but finally, i finished.

they had to be little things but big moments that all added up in the end. of course i didn't whip out monumental things, just things that happen everyday. i tried to make it as realistic as possible. whether i succeeded or not is a different question.

3. time ticking on me (part three): I FINISHED. i was so happy, i don't even know. this part was hard too, because now i had to close it all up in a way that made me satisfied and how i think it would end realistically. honestly, i think it's hard for people to be in love with someone for so long (the story only takes place in the span of two/one month) that you're just like, BAM, okay, i'm going to drop everything for you. i don't think that would have been fair to how i started jessica off, wanting to go home. in the end, jessica still wanted to go home - but unlike before, she wanted to go back. if i were to just be like, jessica fell so much in love and stayed for donghae forever, then i don't know. i feel like that is way too rushed and not real enough for me.

people don't get things like that with a snap of their finger, it's a long process. also, i considered killing her in a plane crash. how morbid is that? i know. i'm sorry. i just tried to show in the end how each relationship was EXTREMELY significant. during the second and third part i especially emphasized the jung bond, bc i love writing about it. the story wasn't all jessica and donghae, more like jessica/donghae/taeyeon/krystal/sure, even eunhyuk.

also, i can't include a future scene. there's an epilogue. silly.
