[ As the feed starts, the interior of the Cherrygrove Center can be seen behind Napoleon. He's still wearing his Napoléon I getup, but there's something missing as he moves from the reception counter. This something reappears on his shoulder in a flash of white light, and Joséphine stretches out looking fit as a fiddle. He now has himself a Meowth- ( Read more... )

Pidgey, huh? I didn't have trouble with them when I first arrived, but I did run into a bunch of wild Rattata. Lucky for me I was traveling with a group, so we were able to fend them off, aru.

[A somewhat relaxed smile comes onto his face.] I think I've had more than enough battle experiences already, being a soldier and all, aru. So, I've taken the path of a breeder.

Joséphine managed to scare quite a few of them off just by being out of her pokéball, but there were a few that were gutsy enough to attack. Some Rattata, too, but we didn't run into ... groups of them like we did flocks of Pidgey.

[ He nods, rubbing at his Meowth's ears as she gets comfortable on his shoulders. ] I can understand that. You'll be able to learn a lot more about pokémon being a breeder, right?

Rattata tend to be more agressive than the Pidgey, at least the ones that attacked my group seemed to be that way, aru. [Oh, he remembers how France had screamed when the purple rats came charging at them in the dark.]

Yes, but I'm sure you would learn just as much about pokemon as a trainer, aru. Either way, we create bonds with them and they show us their distinct personalities.

I'd noticed that most Pidgey seemed timid in comparison to the Rattata. Even the Sentret things, though I saw less of those than I did anything else. [ Please tell him embarrassing stories about his new country, he greatly enjoys picking on him. ]

It's funny that the pokémon have more distinct personalities than the locals. [ Sarcastically funny, anyways. ] But that just makes the pokémon more interesting.

[He nods.] The Sentret do tend to be shy, aru. However, we did see one on our way to Cherrygrove and I was able to catch it. She evolved a long time ago, though. [Oh, he's got plenty of stories to tell. Like the time France's Vulpix filmed him taking a bath while China had been smoking opium at the time.]

Isn't it? When I tried to ask the locals for advice they weren't very helpful and they only repeated everything, aru. [He chuckles.] My pokemon never cease to surprise me.

I ran into a couple on my way to Cherrygrove, though I didn't catch either of them. Gotta say they were pretty cute, though, so I bet the evolution is too. [ Poor France, his life is pain. China smoking opium probably just added to the hilarity. ]

I've pretty much given up on asking the locals anything at this point, because I'm already getting kind of tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. [ That makes him grin a little. ] They're what make this experience fun for me, and I actually look forward to training with mine.

[China smiles.] Oh, yes. They're cute when they evolve into Furret as well~ Although, the funny thing is, my Sentret absolutely disliked me at first. However, while I was talking with my friend Francis, his Vulpix somehow managed to talk some sense into her, and the pulling of the hair stopped, aru. [It most certainly did, especially since China had a hangover the day before from too much sake.]

[China keeps smiling.] Yes, training pokemon is one way to bond with them, aru. They'll never stop surprising you with how they get stronger everyday. It just goes to show that they have high intelligence, aru.
