He's still wearing his Napoléon I getup, but there's something missing as he moves from the reception counter. This something reappears on his shoulder in a flash of white light, and Joséphine stretches out looking fit as a fiddle. He now has himself a Meowth-

It could have been a little more interesting than a pigeon, but at least I didn't try to eat him. [ No, he's never going to let you live that down, France. ] Thank you, though.

So far, yes. The inn's fairly inexpensive, at least, but I'll probably... [ He's scratching his cheek a little sheepishly now. ] Look into getting a job while I'm here. Not that I've ever had one, but it can't be that difficult.

[France huffs slightly before considering for a moment what he remembered of Cherrygrove before he fled it when the world became 2D.]

I think you could probably find work at the Pokémon Center, the PokéMart, or the local restaurant. They're actually pretty friendly about giving entry-level part-time work to non-locals.

[ Well that would be an interesting story to hear, but Napoleon just considers his options. ]

Good to hear it, as strange as this'll be. But if I'm going to be staying here for a few days to check out the weather, then I have to cover my expenses somehow. I just don't know what, exactly, would be the best option.

[France hums, looking contemplative before he momentarily disappears off-screen. There's some rummaging and then he comes back to the 'Gear with a notepad.]

When I asked around Violet about jobs, the Center was looking for assistants for filing and helping with patients for P650 an hour, the Mart for general help for P500 an hour, and the restaurant for waiters, janitors, and chefs of P500 to P700 an hour. Salaries are the same here in Goldenrod, so it might be a pretty universal thing.

[ Napoleon leans, as if he could actually see where France has gone to by doing this. When he returns, he listens. He'll have to write this down for later, himself. ]

Huh. [ Hand at his chin, he looks thoughtful. He'd definitely stay away from the chef job, for everyone's own good. He has no idea how to cook. Waiting, on the other hand, wouldn't be too bad. ] Thanks, France. That cuts down on a lot of investigative time.

[France puts the notebook to the side, gazing at the other consideringly.]

You would certainly not have any problems with getting a job waiting tables. The tips you would get would be quite nice, too, with your looks.

I'm pretty good with people, too, so that'd probably be the best option out of all the other jobs.
