Character Information

General
Canon Source: Gundam 00
Canon Format: Anime
Character's Name: Tieria Erde
Character's Age: Tieria has only been 'active' three years, but his body is physically between the ages of 18-20.

What form will your character's NV take? Haro [ http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Haro], a purple bridge Haro specifically. While Haro's original form is easily capable of recording holographs, audio and video - the keyboard function will be a new, screen and keyboard accessible beneath Haro's right mechanical wing.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:

First and foremost, Tieria Erde is an Innovade and not a human. The Innovades are an artificially created species, genetically altered from humans to be more suited for humanity's expansion into deep space. Innovade have the internal and external appearance of an average human, it is their genetic makeup that is drastically different - rendering them ageless and 'enhanced'. Innovades have greater reflexes and coordination, they are more agile and adept in an anti-gravity environment and do not require repeat trips to earth in order to perform at peak levels. Innovades are also able to communicate with one another via quantum brainwaves, only accessible to other Innovades and Veda. Another characteristic of Innovades is their boosted healing factor and increased physical stamina due to the infusion of nanomachines, enabling them to recover more quickly than the average human from grave wounds.

Other than his abilities as an innovator, Tieria is physically more or less at the same level of his fellow pilots - they all endured the same Celestial Being training required to pilot the labour-intensive Gundams . He has hard tactical knowledge, and experience in both land and space warfare. While not as adept at hand to hand combat as Setsuna or Allelujah who both trained as soldiers, Tieria can handle his own in CQC and has proven himself more than capable at handling firearms.

Additionally, Tieria immersed himself in Veda's supply of information on all things related to Gundam and mobile suits, warfare and any topics deemed important for completing the missions assigned to him. Regardless of being an Innovade, he is extremely intelligent and detail oriented - able to think critically and objectively within chaotic and dangerous situations.

Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them?

Technically as an Innovade Tieria has pre-existing canon abilities, but considering the significant lack of GIANT ROBOTS and DEEP SPACE in Sirens Pull most of are rendered utterly useless!

What I proposed as Tieria's ability was an adjustment of his canon TRIAL[http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Trial_System] ability to suit the environment of Sirens Port. While the TRIAL ability originally gave Tieria control of the VEDA system and any Mobile suit or other linked technology,

basically he can access and disable networks, but only within the scope of that certain network
Like an office network, he would have access to all connected PC's, handheld devices, etc. connected to that same network
a laptop or computer in the vicinity that's NOT part of that network would not be affected

The basis of TRIAL is to disable the system while the user [Tieria] provides 'judgement' in some form or another. While Tieria is able to access the device his only available action is to disable, not to destroy or alter. When Tieria is connected to the network, his access is much like the read-only access granted when borrowing a device - the only available action to read or 'disable' .

Tieria's ability does have the capability to work on the NV system (though considering the relative size of the network, it would be some time before he was able to wrangle the entire network at once), it would only be utilized with explicit mod permission.

Weapons: None.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History:

The beginning of Tieria's life was not a unique one; but one shared by the rest of his kind - the Innovade. He was created on December 9th within an incubation chamber, where he would unconsciously spend years of his life growing to the cusp of adulthood- ceasing to age and remaining in stasis after the optimal maturity of his body had been reached.

When Celestial Being becomes an active cell in 2305, the super computer Veda awakens Tieria to become the pilot of Gundam Virtue (secretly, Gundam Nadleeh)- marking the beginning of his activity and purpose as a functioning individual and the first official Gundam Meister of Celestial Being. After the other pilots were selected by Veda the quartet would train for two years together, preparing mentally and physically for Celestial Being's first intervention.

Tieria's first mission takes place at Heaven's Pillar on the elevator's tenth anniversary. Paired with Allelujah the two deflect a terrorist attack meant to destroy the space station. The Gundam versus Hellion battle is recorded, and Celestial Being is first introduced to the world through the media. Not long after, Aeolia Schenberg's recorded objective is broadcast through the hijacked airways and the purpose of Celestial being and the Gundam is made known to the world - that the world would be brought to peace through Celestial Being's forceful intervention.

Soon after Celestial Being would make itself known and feared by terrorists and military alike, striking fast and hard at concentrated forces of conflict across the globe. With each battle the Gundam's prove their superiority over the mobile suits that had been considered at the height of technology, and soon the nation's prerogatives would switch from waging war against one another to being the first to capture a Gundam and advance their own armies. Despite the best efforts of the Union, HRL and AEU the Gundam Meister's evade capture and continue to prove Celestial Being a force to be reckoned with.

Despite the continued success of Celestial Being, there is friction amongst the pilots - most notably between Tieria and Setsuna. The Innovade is concerned only with the completion of Veda and Celestial Being's objectives, and is angered and disgusted by Setsuna's brashness and habit of acting on impulse. He threatens to shoot his fellow pilot after he threatens the Celestial Being's code of secrecy, a similar threat made to Allelujah when he strays from their M.O. Despite their continued success Tieria remains distant from the other pilots, irked by their 'human' flaws and unconvinced they deserve Veda's trust or positions within Celestial Being. However, Tieria's near impossible standards do not only apply to his teammates - when the HRL are nearly successful in capturing himself and Virtue, Tieria is forced to reveal the true extent of his Gundam - that Virtue is in actuality the shell of Gundam Nadleeh. Tieria is mentally and emotionally distraught that his own failure caused a deviation from Veda's schedule, revealing Nadleeh before planned.

It takes the violent and extreme presence of the Trinity's to break the wall between Tieria and Setsuna. While their personalities are opposing, both young men are loyal to the cause of Celestial Being and work together to confront their radical counterparts and their advanced Throne Gundam. It was also during Celestial Being's affair with the Trinities that Tiera becomes suspicious of Veda after encountering an information block restricted to him,. Later during the battle with the Trinity siblings he is locked out of Nadleeh's Veda-trial system, enabling the Trinities to escape Tieria's fatal judgement. In the heated scene with Lockon and Setsuna that follows the battle Tieria displays his first shred of humanity, laughing for the first time - the gap between himself and his fellow pilots becomes smaller.

After the Union, HRL and AEU acquire GN-X's from a source inside Celestial Being, the conflict with the Trinity's and Setsuna's shady past is the least of the Gundam Meister's worries. With the technology to locate and stand up to the Gundam, the the three world forces unite into the UN Force and take the first steps to seek and destroy Celestial Being. An all-out attack is planned and executed, the UN's goal to find Ptolemy (Celestial Being's base of operations) and eliminate the Gundam once and for all. Faced with their most difficult battle yet, heavily outnumbered and confronted with anti-GN weapons Veda is simultaneously hacked by Ribbons and the Gundam are shut down in the midst of the brawl, leaving them helpless to defend themselves or Ptolemy. In a daring and brilliant move, Sumeragi implements a stand alone OS that allows the pilots to regain control of their Gundam. Desperate and confused by Veda's abandonment Tieria attempts to reconnect himself, and rejecting the OS - remaining immobile while the others returned to operational status. Without mercy Patrick Colasaur of the UN forces take the opportunity to destroy the Virtue in its incapacitated state, and the Gundam and Tieria are nearly destroyed - saved at the last moment by Lockon Stratos who threw himself and Gundam Dynames between Tieria and the blow that would have ended him. While Lockon was nearly killed in the process, he pulled through and both pilots survived to make it back to Ptolemy.

At the base, Tieria is shaken and upset by the turn of events and Lockon's sacrifice. Not only does he feel guilt that his own failure and dependence on Veda led to the injury of a fellow pilot and near destruction of both their Gundams, but confusion towards the sniper's selfless action. Lockon comforts Tieria, offering advice that led Tieria to believe that the other man knew he wasn't quite human. Cut off from Veda and seeking guidance, he warms to Lockon and begins to show signs of a sentimental side of himself that even Tieria hadn't known existed.

When the UN pursues a crippled and exhausted Ptolemy, and the 'final' battle is upon them Tieria begins to act even further on his emotions - going so far as to imprison Lockon within his room to protect him from the battle to come that Veda had predicted to be Celestial Being's end. In the midst of battle with Lockon is discovered to have escaped Tieria is both upset and strongly concerned. Handicapped in his injured and half-blinded state, Lockon's Gundam Dynames is destroyed, and the sniper himself is finally killed in a showdown against his arch rival - Ali Al-Saachez. In a startling display of emotion, Tieria cries when Lockon is confirmed to be dead. The return to base is heavy, and Tieria is distraught - lashing out in his confusion at Setsuna and blaming him for Lockon's death. Sumeragi slaps Tieria across the face, and Tieria is left to reflect on the uncertain future of Celestial being and their own lives. He comes to the conclusion that he will continue fighting in Lockon's memory despite the danger.

In the last stand against the UN force's GN-X units, joined by Alejandro Corner's ridiculously overpowered Alvator icon the Gundam Meister's play their newly discovered trump cards - the Trans Am technique unique to their Gundam. Despite the enhanced speed and strength of the Trans Am state it is only temporary, and Nadleeh is soon dismantled. In a showdown between the disabled Nadleeh and Patrick Colosaur in his GN-X they two fire at one another simultaneously, the blow that would have further crippled Ptolemy devastating Nadleeh - Tieria's shot striking Patrick and throwing him out of range of the battle.

With Nadleeh destroyed, and Tieria severely injured he performs a final act of rebellion - discharging his GN-drive to hopefully reach Celestial Being and prevent it from falling into enemy hands. As he loses consciousness within the cockpit, Tieria speaks of joining Lockon on the other side. It is in this state and time he is removed from his world and brought to Axiom Nexus, and not to his friend in heaven or the battered remnants of Celestial Being.

Point in Canon: End of Season One, pre-rescue from the destroyed Virtue.

Character Personality:

Tieria Erde is a complicated individual, and the most enigmatic of the four Gundam Meisters. Tieria's background and true nature are a mystery to Celestial Being, and perhaps even himself.

One thing Tieria does make very obvious is his strict sense of justice and adherence to the will of Veda, valuing the super computers directive and goals as his top priority - and above the safety and happiness of his fellow teammates [Canonly, he was built as such - all Innovade are given specific personalities and traits in accordance to their mission - once the mission is performed their memory and personality are erased and they are 'rebooted' with new ones.] Regarding himself as the closest to Veda and in turn the enforcer of Veda's will, Tieria is not above judging those around him with cold authority and deeming them unfit to be members of Celestial Being and part of Veda's plan. As an Innovade he is disdainful and unforgiving of human flaws and personal ambitions, unable to comprehend the complexity of their emotions as he has nothing to compare them to within himself. It is this attitude that comes off as arrogant, holier-than-though and creates friction between himself and the other pilots and prevents him from being seen as anything but cold and detached. Despite presenting Celestial Being with difficulties his intelligence and efficiency in battle prove Tieria an invaluable asset, and those around him are forced to put up with the high-horsed pilot for better or for worse. His true 'age' is partly to blame for his inability to communicate and respond properly to other outside of a tactical environment - his activation in 2305 would mark him as functioning for a grand total of two years.

It is only when Tieria's connection with Veda is severed that he begins to soften, and rely on those around them rather than the logical and brutally efficient super computer that had been his only constant companion. When Tieria's life is saved by Lockon Stratos, his views on humanity and the world around him begin to shift. The other pilot's compassion and sacrifice causes Tieria to see the world and people around him in a different light, for the first time thinking and feeling for himself as an individual rather than an extension of Veda. Lockon is the source of many blossoming emotions within Tieria, and the Innovade achieves a considerable amount of humanity in a short amount of time. This is expressed in his concern toward the other pilot, going so far as to watch over him while he sleeps and take personal action to protect him - for the first time feeling guilt and debt to a human being.

When Lockon is killed, another world of emotion is opened to Tieria - that of pain and anger. The loss of his teammate strikes Tieria deeply, and the bond he felt toward the other pilot only grows deeper- vowing to fight on in Lockon's name and seeking to join him in death when the battle is over. For an individual, and Innovade that had previously only considered himself a tool and voluntary tool of Veda - to think and fight for Lockon rather than Veda in his final moments is a true step forward in admitting and embracing humanity.

After Lockon's influence Tieria is both parts hot and cold, hard and soft. While he is still capable of passing judgement on his enemies and holding Celestial Being's strong ideals close, he is also capable for the first time of joining the rest of Celestial Being as a teammate and friend - not a judge.

Character Plans:

Tieria is not going to be a happy camper. The death of Lockon Stratos, the loss of Veda and his own subsequent failure on multiple levels have all brought him to the most dramatic turning point of his short existence. In a very short amount of time Celestial Being fell from the top of the world to rock bottom, shaken to the very roots of their foundation and nearly destroyed in the decisive battle against Alejandro Corner. With over half of Celestial missing or killed in action, to awaken in a strange place minus the remnants of Virtue will be the least of his mental conundrums - at first.

Once the shock and initial flood of emotion begins to wear away, the true reality of his situation will sink in. Complete removal from the only world and existence Tieria has ever known, coping with the strange environment and slew of people will prove to be extremely difficult.

Messing around with his ability promises to be entertaining as well, kufufu.

Appearance/PB:

HE ARRIVES IN HIS FLIGHTSUIT, THE PINK SWEATER WILL NOT EXIST WITHIN THE SIRENS PULL UNIVERSE.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample

[Tieria clears his throat roughly before beginning. His words are loaded, though the emotion behind them is carefully hidden. The soft tone in which is speaks is raw and hoarse with pain, but firm. ]

UN, AEU or HRL - I don't care who you are. I'm not telling you anything.

Celestial Being is not one pilot, it is not one Gundam and regardless of my imprisonment . Their efforts will continue, Aeolia Schenberg's vision will be realized. I will remain silent, but Celestial Being will not.

Third Person Sample

Something heavy weighed down on his chest, crushing him- smothering him. Tieria struggled against the invisible pressure that threatened to crush his lungs, his screaming muscles and aching body, arching off the thin mattress. He was rewarded by a resounding silent 'pop' in his ribcage, the buckling muscle and bone an unmerciful reminder that movement was not the proper course of action.

Acting irrationally would get him nowhere, in order to properly survey his condition and surroundings he must remain calm. Easier said than done, when he had practice controlling his heart-rate in training, it hadn't felt like Virtue was standing on him. Another pang of pain, albeit a mental one. Virtue was gone, as was Nadleeh - destroyed in the fight against the UN force. The Gundam had been torn asunder, reduced to one more pile of scrap dotting the the blackness of space. Tieria opened his eyes, there was no more damaged cockpit - no more swallowing blackness or silent explosions blossoming against the infinite darkness like so many stars.

Above him, there was only stark ceiling. The only assailant within the room was gravity, heavy and awkward. Tieria had been created to function within the weightless, directionless atmosphere of outer space. What was up and what was down was often relative, controlled and manipulated by the pilot. Tieria slowed his breathing, concentrating on inhaling and exhaling, accepting the planet's pull rather than fighting against it. Within a few moments, existence was made easier - physically.

Mentally, Tieria almost wished the earth would crush him into the mattress and into unconsciousness, Lockon was dead and he had been captured by the enemy.

He had failed again. He could only judge himself unfit to be a Gundam Meister, by his own standards and by Veda's.

Unfit to exist, if he could not fulfill the single purpose he had been created for.
