This gives me a sense of awe, like it should. 8D I can't find the arrange version online though. THEY TOTALLY TOOK THIS AWAY IN THE PSP REMAKE AND REPLACED IT WITH SOME CRAPPY J-POP, DIDN'T THEY???

- SO2 - Field of Nede (There's the Fantasy Megamix version, but I can't find it online)
- SO1 - Past days (SO4's remix is so pretty)
- SO3 - Bird's Eye View Sunshine and blue skies!
- SO3 - Around in the Wilderness IT'S ADVENTURE TIME
- SO4 - Silk Road in the Sky II IT'S SO OMNIOUS AND GAAAH *__*
- SO:BS - The Surface of the Blue Sphere
Favourite town theme: I UH REALLY CAN'T DECIDE, SO3 having the most.

- SO3 - Desolate Smell of Earth
- SO3 - Requiem for a Saint
- SO2 - Walk Over
- SO2 - Moderate
- SO4 - Expectations of the Future
Favourite dungeon theme: SO:BS - Legacy From the Past (especially the arrange version OH GOD WAIT UNTIL YOU GET TO 1:20. I HAD TO UPLOAD IT MYSELF JUST SO I CAN SHARE IT).
I'm not even sure if it's even a dungeon theme or a town theme, but it's most likely a dungeon. ^^; I also ADORE SO2 - Pyroxene. So pretty and mysterious. ♥ SO3 - Intricate Match is the only heavy dungeon theme that doesn't get on my nerves.
Most engaging/motivational theme: SO3 - The Future of Blood-Stained Blade
This song in the Director's Cut commercial is what made me anxious for SO3 in the first place. I don't even know where they play it in the game though. I also like SO3 - Over the Planet.
Favourite normal battle theme: SO:BS - Hand to Hand (Arrange version, Live version)
I'd say this and SO3 - Cutting Edge of Notion are somewhat tied because they sound alike, but SO3 gives me painful memories, LOL.
Favourite sub-boss battle theme: SO4 - Don't be a Hero
I'm not sure if this qualifies as a sub-boss theme because it's basically the theme for specific enemies that make it seem like a freaking boss fight anyway. orz I guess it would be a crime to not mention SO3's Divine Spirit of Language. I've always liked SO1 - Tense Atmosphere when I played SO1. :D
Favourite final boss battle theme: SO2 - Integral Body, Imperfect Soul (Arrange version)
I think I heard the arrange version before I got to the last boss in-game. Nonetheless, I fell in love with it right away. It's just so perfect as a final boss theme. I unfortunately can't remember the themes for the other SO games, but this one I will definitely never forget.
Favourite ending theme: SO2 - We Form In Crystals
When I first heard it, it sent chills up my spine. It's so haunting and emotional. Even the end credits makes you feel like you're soaring over the world. I LOVE IT. I totally freaked out when SO4's ending theme had parts of this song it in. *_*;; Unfortunately I can't find the arrange version of this online either. It has vocals that make it all the more amazing.
Most nostalgic song: SO4 - For Achieve (Brass Remix)
Gaaaah, I love this song whenever it plays in-game. ♥ Next up would be SO4 - Stab the Sword of Justice (Heroic Mix) because I TOTALLY DIDN'T EXPECT IT.
Most overrated theme: SO2 - Incarnation of Devil (SO2 - Fantasy Megamix version, VP - OST version, SO3 - OST version, RS - OST version, SO4 - OST version, SO4 - Arrange version)
First appearing in SO2 as Cyril/Lucifer's battle theme (which was quite epic, mind you), it caught on to every subsequent tri-Ace game as the Gabriel Celeste and Iselia/Etheral Queen's official battle theme... I. JUST. MAKE IT STOP.
J-pop song that I don't hate too much: SO1 - "Heart" by Asunaro
Lol, it's... okay. I got used to it eventually. I don't like SO2's new emo opening song at all and SO3's ending theme is just... um... made me laugh outloud during the credits. J-POP DOESN'T BELONG IN THIS SERIES. I'm so glad SO4 was totally devoid of it. :D
Ah, after going through all that music, I now remember why I love SO2 so much. I suppose it's still my favourite game of all time despite my current obsession with SO4. XD;
I think it can sum up to this:
... SO3 has the strongest OST
... SO4 has the least memorable OST (heck, I remember more SO:BS songs than SO4...), but DOES have some good songs
... SO2's music has left the biggest impression on me
... SO1 gets big points on nostalgia
... SO:BS IS SO UNDERRATED. The 8-bit music does sound alike but the arrange versions are awesome. ♥ I wonder how the music is for the mobile remake? Did they keep it as 8-bit?
