Flowers for Lance update (of sorts).
Unfortunately, the update is that I have no update. The flowers were delivered on Friday--Bob confirmed that he took care of it--but I haven't received any response or reaction, and I don't know if I will. I'm sorry about that, but I think we have to accept that we made a gesture and we may not be able to find out anything more about it. I did ask Bob if he could get a picture of the flowers (with or without Lance) for us, but I don't know whether that will ever materialize.
I sent Bob a thank-you note, with a gift card for a local restaurant, and perhaps we'll hear something more once he receives that. Or perhaps we won't.
In other news, I came home last night to find checks from two people (in Kalamazoo and Corvallis; I don't have your LJ names handy). Thank you so much. The generosity and trust demonstrated throughout this whole process just makes me so damn happy. All y'all rock. Really.
And, in the end: Lance? STILL OUT. Rock on.
