Tuesday drive-by
Today is not a typical Tuesday at work. I have no city government related meeting to attend. Yes, that's right, bask in the glory that is the fifth Tuesday of the month.
You see, friends, on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, I get to report on what the Paola City Council discusses at their marathon meetings. And on the third Tuesday of the month, I get to report on the much more time-efficient Paola Planning Commission. This leaves the first Tuesday of the month as quasi-normal. However, the first Tuesday in August was an election night special (read: nightmare). So, tonight I shall enjoy the first Tuesday in quite some time that I will not stress out about possibly missing some of that night's televised World Series of Poker action. Whew.

I have discovered the secret to happy days at work: 11 hours of sleep the night before. Not likely to be a feat oft repeated, but one that I achieved last night and am fairly proud about.

Previously, for others interested in Matt-related stats, I posted the number of former girlfriends/romantic interests/etc. of mine who are either married or engaged. Add one to that list, which I believe was four deep previously. A former high school girlfriend is now engaged to some guy who works in a lion safari in Florida. Thanks to Rick for that informational nugget. I'll try to think of other statistics I can throw on here at random times. Suggestions are welcome.
