space (n.) - 1. limitless expanse containing all things; 2. distance or area; 3. interval of time; (v.) divide by spaces.

space. time apart. a break. a hiatus. on hold. and so on and so forth.

This is what has been asked of me, and this is what I'm going to grant. Many who know or have known me probably assume that giving space, etc., is no big deal. I go for weeks without talking to my father, I haven't talked to a family member that wasn't involved in my birth in more than a year. My best friend, I e-mail occasionally and talk to maybe once every two weeks. I still have people I consider good friends that I have know clue where they are, and vice versa. The point is, space isn't hard for me with most people, but when one certain, special person in my life requests space, why is that so hard?
I guess its tough for me to understand how space can be a desire when I already live 2 1/2 hours away and we see each other on the weekends only. And the funny thing is I am pretty sure she wouldn't want space if I lived closer.
I hate feeling like I'm at somebody's whim. But I don't have to be, I am by choice. She knows I'll wait, and I have to trust her not to take advantage of that. And if I wind up waiting for nothing, that's my loss.
This made no sense, did it? I'm sorry.

Here's something you all need to know: Streetlight Manifesto is the best band you've never heard, or never heard of. Until now. Find some mp3s online. Scour the internet for them if you must. Get the album, "Everything Goes Numb."
Do yourself that favor.

Ben Harper (most of you know my fascination with him) released a new album yesterday with the Blind Boys of Alabama choir. !!! "There Will Be A Light," on Virgin Records. It will be mine by the weekend. I may not leave the house for a few days.

And I can afford not to, seeing as how most of my dishes are clean, I went grocery shopping, and I have nothing going on yet that I know of (invites welcome.) I did dishes and went grocery shopping over the past weekend/week for the first time in months. I wish I was joking. Actually, I wish I was asleep right now. But joking too, yes.

I feel like rambling, but I'll spare y'all (yes, all four of you.)
