This makes total sense to a guy from shonen world.

[A BENEFIT OF BEING SO SHORT; one can easily ninja under quick looks and get to view demented strangers pirouetting on bricks in exchange.

what is this even.]

...You certainly don't see that every day.

[Oh shit he knows that voice.

He spins around on the brick, keeping his balance.]

...It is just a way to practice keeping my balance.

[oh hey he knows that voice too. snickersnicker.]

That's a strange way to go about it, but it seems to be working for you. What do you need the practise for?

[Quiet, shorty. Superhumans shouldn't be so short. Lame.]

I've recently joined the Blitzball team.

[Is that an answer to the question or a completely unrelated yet also completely true fact? Could be either.]

[hey. hey. what he lacks in height he makes up for in throwing-furniture-through-walls prowess.

and he's looking even more amused at that answer.]

One of those activities at the school? Why waste your time?

Exactly. It is a waste of time. But the Major General seems to think I should be a part of it, and I have considered it a challenge. I am already without a doubt the best player-once I've made it clear there's no challenge in it for me, I will quit, and if anyone has any sense they won't bother me with stupid things like this again.

Or perhaps they'll continue to bait you, seeing as you've risen to a challenge already. What's two or three more, right? [hopping onto the fence to get a better seat]

Especially if you surpass those challenges. You know how your kind works.

Perhaps that is the case-

[He tips the brick to the left, and steps with it, keeping on top as he rolls it back up to vertical, moving him a brick's width to the left.]

But in that case they will likely give me something more difficult. I have never actually been challenged by anything in my life. I wouldn't mind something that will require effort.

[he seems mildly impressed with the display of balance and coordination.]

If that's the case, you must be fairly talented by human standards. Ah, but I do understand your plight. Boredom is a terrible thing; years and years of nothing worth your time does tend to grow old very quickly.

In terms of talent, I possess the absolute human limit. Anything in the human world, I can master with no issue.

[And repeats the trick again, this time going right.]

Even in my limited years, the lack of stimulation is maddening.

It's unfortunate that one who marginally improves his species is left to pay a price for it. [though he sounds more amused by it than anything like the wee brat he is]

Perhaps the town and its penchant for havoc will provide you with enough of a challenge to stave off the worst of the boredom.

Heh. [And he seems amused too, if in a sad way.] If it did not happen to someone of high value by human standards, it wouldn't matter anyway.

It is true that the stories I enjoy most are horror stories. Being a part of one might be interesting.

True, I couldn't imagine your role being taken by an ordinary human. What a poorly-written tragedy that would be.

[he shifts a little, leaning to one side and kicking his heels against the fence.]

That's an interesting way to look at it. You haven't been around for anything big yet, have you?
