So forgive me for not being up on the Jewish culture, but why is Passover being over such a good thing?

You have to completely clean your house to prepare for the holiday. During the holiday itself you can't eat a lot of things; rice, bread, nuts, etc. I basically live off of one staple food the entire 8 days and by the time it's over I am so sick of matzah.
It also requires a lot of cooking because you have a lot of company over during the holiday,
