Sorry to be a bother, but I have a quick question, if it's all right?

I was browsing the Dreamwidth account of another wonderful creator (http://jessi-dot.dreamwidth.org/), and in one of her entries, she credits you with the creation of the cardigan her model is wearing (this one here), but notes that she's unable to find them anywhere.

I think I saw a couple of your models wearing it (or something similar to it) as well, and I was wondering if it is in fact your creation? And if it is, do you have it available anywhere for download? I really love the look of it, and would love to add it to my Sims' wardrobes if you do.

If you're not offering it for download, I totally understand! Just knowing who made it will be more than enough for me! <3 Sorry to be a bother!

It's fine; your not a bother. :)

The cardigan is indeed by me; I have just recently been asked about it, too. I am afraid I posted it a bit too... subtly, as it does not have it's own picture.

Anyway, it's in this thread, in the middle:

Aww, I'm glad I'm not bothering you with my question. :)

You know, I read through all of your posts, and somehow missed that in that entry! Wow, how silly of me!

Thank you so, so much for pointing that out! I'm in LOVE with it, truly I am! The way it layers both under and over bottom-only dresses is FANTASTIC! It's exactly what I've been looking for! <3

Now I need to find some recolors, and more bottom-only dresses. >:D

Ohh, if I might be annoying enough to ask one more question? ^^*

I'd love to have more colors for these awesome cardigans, but I'm unsure of which recolors were made using this tweaked mesh, and which were made using your original one.

Would recolors of the original mesh work for the newer one? If not, is there some way I can tell if the recolors are for the newer mesh? I have SimPE, but not Body Shop, if that means anything (as I only have Life Stories).

Thanks again, and sorry for asking so many questions!!

In SimPE, when you open a file, you can check if it uses the new mesh by clicking on the Property Set and scrolling down in the window this opens, until you reach the line reading "numoverrides". The last number in the line must be 2, as the mesh has two groups; if the last number is 1, the file uses the old mesh.

I would have liked the new mesh to pick of the textures of the old one; but as far as I know this is not possible, specifically because it has a group more.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, there are no retextures/ recolours of the new mesh.

I downloaded a set of recolors from GoS, which I believe use the old mesh. I'll check them out sometime tonight. I don't mind having the old one too. :) They're really lovely!

Yeah, I've never heard of any way to repository clothing either. I've been browsing around for more colors for the new mesh myself, but everything I can find thus far was posted well before you posted the tweaked mesh here, so I know it's not the right one.

If I could figure out how to recolor properly using only SimPE, I'd definitely be working on some retextures for the new mesh! But recoloring in SimPE is done by editing an existing recolor, and not by making a new one, so only one can be in-game at a time. :\ It's a shame; I'd love to work with these!

Yes, it's limited in that way...

Well, there is a download version of Bodyshop on the Sims2 site. This is, however, the pre-release version, and I do not know whether that would be any good for making anything. I mean, it's ancient. :/

I've been poking around, trying to find the download on the official site, but I've been coming up empty...I wonder if I need to log in or whatnot to see it, and if I need to log in, if I need to have registered with a copy of TS2 basegame, because the EA sites usually whine at me that I don't have one, and can't download things because of it.

EDIT: I was able to find it for download elsewhere, but unfortunately it only allows for the editing of a couple of things that came WITH that version of bodyshop. Well poo! If I could just figure out how to make NEW recolors, instead of editing/overwriting existing ones...
