(no subject)
*I lose my job on Thursday.
*My throat still hurts.... after 2 months, one of those with crazy amounts of antibiotics. I don't know what it is, I'm scared to find out... but I won't be able to find out until I get a job with health insurance.
*teacher hasn't mailed me back my letter(s) of recommendation, which I am sending in with 2 job applications, both for social work.
one is $10.80/hr, great benefits, but an hour drive away. it's for a non-profit org. that deals with troubled youth (primarily male)
the other is $16.25 starting pay, for the state, doing either foster care or child protective services, and since it's a state job, it will have great benefits as well, and that job COULD be right down the road... but it could also end up in Gd. Rapids or Oakland Co., or anywhere in between.
Hopefully I get one of them...
