Yes, I really am posting for the third time in one day.
Apple called. My laptop needs a new logic board. Which is a $350 repair, but they're not charging me, because they broke it when they were replacing my top case. Which was a $150 repair, but they didn't charge me for that, because they broke it when they were replacing the flex cable on my sound board. Which was a $45 repair, but they didn't charge me for that, because they didn't fix it when they were supposed to.
So. It's official. Piece by piece, starting back in September, APPLE HAS BEEN DESTROYING MY COMPUTER.
The good news is, IT'S NOT ME.
The other good news is that they have to send it away for repair, so the local Geniusii won't actually be touching it themselves.
The bad news is they'll probably have to wipe my hard drive, but really, except for my Firefox bookmarks, everything transferred to the iMac, including the "unregistered" Office that Ashley got for free when she was a student at Pitt and installed on my laptop, too. So, really, I have no complaints.
