[There's the sound of hands running over the communicator as Sokka turns it over and over, trying to figure it out-- his hand has hit one of the buttons to turn it on as he's fiddling with it.]
...heard people talking through this before, now how...
[And then, he realizes he's transmitting.]
Aha! Okay, all right. At least one thing makes sense.

Some Annoying Guy.]
Why would you be sleeping in the tub? There's a bed there, genius.
Reply
What? Where? I mean, I've been sleeping on the-- I guess it's a couch? I've been sleeping on the couch thing, but there's nothing like a bed with blankets or anything.
Reply
You didn't really look around much, did you? The thing the tub's on rotates, there's a bed on the other side.

There aren't a lot of machines where I come from, okay? Now where's the switch...
Reply
Oh yeah? Then just what do you have there? [Not that he believes any of this other-world stuff. He probably just hit his head on the boat a little too hard. Dreaming, obviously.]

[There's shuffling in the background as he searches for a switch.]
Snow. Ocean.
Well, that's at home. The Earth Kingdom's all mostly stone, so they use Earthbending to get around and stuff. The Fire Nation's all machinary and war balloons and airships and crazy stuff like that. I mean, we have machines, don't get me wrong, it's just not the first thing I'd-- aha! Found it!
[And there's a whirr of machinery as the bed rotates into place.]
That is so cool!

You really have never seen anything like this before, have you?
Reply
[It comes out as a pitchy squawk. The machinery continues to whirr round as Sokka continues holding down the button, mostly for his own amusement.]
I've seen stuff like it, it's just not as common outside of the Fire Nation.

[Oh, look. He gets to snark back!]
Somehow, I really doubt we're dreaming.
[But he does mutter something about it explaining a few things.]
Reply
[Oh good we're on equal footing now.]
And this? Is definitely a dream.
Reply
Oh yeah? Prove it.
[Can you hear the cocky grin?]

They said they called here by ~magic. Magic doesn't exist. No way that could happen.

Though I can't say I've ever been teleported anywhere like this before. This is crazy Spirit-World Avatar stuff.
Reply
[But dream-dude, you are so deep in believing yourself, Jim doesn't even want to bother.]
Maybe you should just focus on not sleeping in a tub again. See how that works out, Spirit-Dude.
