[After a moment, he adds:]

Be careful passing Deck 10.

[He'll be there in a few minutes. Quick like a bunny!]

Look, that's where a lot of crazy is.

[He says it half-heartedly. He doesn't expect Hiccup to hear him, or answer. He was worried. Maybe it was stupid to worry.

He ducks out into the hall-- keycard in hand-- to wait for Hiccup. He's wearing the long-sleeved shirt he'd gotten to replace his tunic when it had blood on it, but there's definitely two arms filling those sleeves. His hair's down, though, like he just woke up from a nap.]

[Hiccup quite literally does a double take when he's close enough to recognize the skin and eye color.]

...Nice hair.

[For some reason, he did not think it would fall out of the bun that way.

[Sokka gives a snort, and blows a piece of hair out of his eyes.]

Next time I'll pretty up for you.

Huh.

I'm gonna pretend you never made that offer so can I see your hand now?

I'll admit it wasn't one of my better jokes.

[But the water tribe boy's face splits into a grin. Instead of just offering his hand, Sokka wrenches his left sleeve up to his shoulder, showing off an arm nigh-identical to the one that was blown off. There's a thin ring of scarring around it where the old arm ended and the new arm begins. He flexes it. You know... he's pretty skinny but there's some muscle there.]

It's pretty much good as new! Better than new, maybe.

[Hiccup wrenches back at the sudden movement and STARES.]

Oooh, What?

[His first instinct is to touch it, but he's not a very touchy person, so he stops himself from doing much more than reaching and OBVIOUSLY WANTING TO TOUCH.]

You can feel it! It's real and everything. Iiiiii don't understand it either, but it's awesome.

[He's seriously really happy. Everything's okay again. They're even getting off the boat. Except for his friends from home not being here, everything's pretty okay!]

[Hiccup hesitates for a a few more seconds before reaching out and grabbing Sokka by his new elbow. He pulls himself forward, then starts poking and prodding the cloned skin.

You know how awkward kids don't seem to know their own strength or how much pressure to not use when touching others? Yeah. Uhm. Hiccup.]

Can--Can you feel this?

[Sokka winces a bit, but he's still grinning like a complete idiot.]

Ow! Hey-- careful!

[And there's a pause.]

I can feel it, though. I was hoping it wasn't my imagination or something....
