Weekend Updates
Wasn't a bad weekend really.
Went to the Year 9 PLC Pet show with Skye, Skye's niece Alex (who is starting yr 7 at PLC next year) and tashrocks - Skye and Tash spend the time flashing back to highschool and reliving those old memories whilst bitching about all the old classmates they ran into. I, personally, was a little scared by the over use of Ralph Lauren clothing.
Stopped in for some flat white action then headed home and Skye went out to a birthday lunch for her Mum. I went out and did some shopping (skinny jeans!) came home and played some World of Warcraft (suprise!) til the evening.
Got on my bike and headed into the City to meet Maria and friends for her birthday @ The Loft. I was a little worried after everyone gave me a pretty bad impression of the door staff as to whether or not I would even get through the door - BUT no drama's - just walked straight in. Must have been the new jeans :) Inside was already packed with drunken suites who'd been at the races all day so it was getting pretty ugly already. Fortunately by 10ish most had had enough and its started to clear a little and be replaced by relatively "normal" folk.
Highlight of the evening would have to be the blatant drug use going on in the toilets. At one point one of the mens cubicles produced 3 people (2 girls, 1 guy) Funny...
Anyhow, after The Loft it was over to Tank, where I'd never been before and was quite pleasant. Of note was the venue is non smoking - which really does make a place much nicer. It did create a rather large group of hanging around out the front however. That was the first time I'd actually really noticed the new smoking rules.
Bailed and was home ~3.
Got up far too early for Fathers Day John's style on Sunday, did some grocery shopping (whee) and played some more WoW. All quite relaxing really.
