Horizons be damned!
My dad gets back from Ethiopia in a few hours. So far no worries.
Places, outside the US, I must go before biting the big one, in no particular order:
Belgrade, Serbia (and also Sokobanja)
Odessa, Ukraine
Dubai, UAE ( to visit family, really)
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kamchatka
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (during the months you can swim on the edge of the cliff and look down the falls)
Praja a Mare, Italy (after learning some Italian of course)
Heidelberg, Germany (among other cities)
Kyzyl, Tuva (gotta learn some throat singing)
Nuku'alofa, Tonga
Sligo, Ireland (and many surrounding areas)
Cairns and Brisbane, Queensland
Kansai or Chubu.. or really anywhere, Japan
and many more places to be discovered later!
