He's the regeneration that existed immediately prior to mine. I died in a TARDIS accident, and became me after having been him.

I'm not always a very nice person. Even in this regeneration, I've allowed my temper to get the better of me. He's all wrath and fury and indignation. Though I can't recall precisely how I felt about it at the time. Just how I feel now in retrospect.

No. Because that death didn't create me. And that's what perplexes me. The point he's from, I oughtn't to have died at all.
