[Sam took his time in getting to T'Pol's room, not for a lack of wanting to see her, but a lack of wanting to see Aristotle again. A part of him worried that if put within reach of the dog, that he would do something to the poor creature. But when he reached her room, he knocked quietly on her door.]
[She opened the door quickly enough; it had been some time since she'd been in close quarters with dogs. And she'd forgotten how bad they smell. T'Pol stepped aside so Sam could enter.]
[Sam offered her a slightly nervous smile as he entered and spotted Aristotle. A part of him wanted to kill the dog right then and there. But the puppy remembered Sam and hurried over to the hunter's side eagerly.]
[No killing things, Sam. :| T'Pol arched an eyebrow at the dog, reminded of Porthos, Captain Archer's beagle. If the captain was nearby, Porthos knew.] He seems to have missed you, [she said dryly. Dogs were surprisingly easy to read when it came to people.]
[Sam squatted down a little to pat the dog's head and scratch behind the animal's ears. But he didn't do so eagerly despite Aristotle's clear excitement to see his master again.]
Is that my...uh... Aristotle?
