After the trial is over, Robin makes it out of the room first. He had been edging that way since the judge stood up to give the sentencing. His first stop is the kitchen to fill up a cafeteria tray with food, juices, and water. It takes serious balance to carry it without anything dropping to the floor. He manages well enough. He's had practice. If he hadn't been a personal assistant and was able to be around alcohol, Robin might have been a waiter.
Robin even grabs a flower from a local vase set out in the common room to make it look pretty. Hey, he's kissed her a few times. He's allowed to make romantic gestures at this point, correct? There isn't anyone to answer that question so he tries to set the flower among the food, but finds that there is no room so he carries it between his fingers next to the tray.
He walks to Dawes' room assuming that by this time she'll have made it back. Robin did hand make all the food to be sure that he wouldn't arrive to early or run into her in the hall because that would have been awkward... as if this entire venture won't be awkward. They never exactly discussed the kisses except the first time when she said some variation of no or we can't before running away.
Robin knocks on the door when he arrives in front of it, shifting the tray so he can hold it in one hand and hold the flower out to her. Hopefully she actually answers and isn't off with someone else. Awkward. He will simply stand her attempting to smile and look charming instead of as exhausted and concerned as he feels.
