Well done. I never thought of comparing Buffy/Darla, but interesting observations there.

Hmm I always wanted to compare Buffy to Drusilla.

Interesting. Any particular reason? The comparison doesn't strike me as clearly as the Buffy-Darla one.

Well one reason to me and this isn't based on looks but to me Drusilla has this innocence that resonates the vampirism (something Angelus took from her). I always felt that Drusilla represented what Buffy could become if she allowed herself to be metally raped and broken by Angelus. Notice how even Dru picks up on the fact that he doesn't want to kill Buffy he wants to hurt her...like he hurt Drusilla ( ... )

Angel has been excellently captured here! I've always believed that it was Buffy's resemblance to Darla (plus the need for redemption) that caused Angel to start on his new path as a champion.

I noticed the resemblance between Buffy and Darla- and the resemblance of other characters, but I never thought about how that would have played in Angel's decision...I really like this and it has given me something to think about...
