Day two of my two day daycare adventure and I am so exhausted I can barely type this. I figure I should though or it might not ever get done.

I woke early again, having tossed and turned all night, and I was fighting nausea long into the day, so I didn't eat.

I misjudged the time but still got to the daycare at nine on the dot and soon saw it was crazy hair day. Unfortunately there was no green hair spray.

I signed in, locked up my bag and went to play again. I had to confiscate a few shiny metallic-green rocks that people kept throwing, and had to make a stuffed cheetah (named Lion) play peekaboo a gazillion times but other than that the morning went without incident.

Before we headed into the room we decided to have a race, so the kids all lined up and ran their little hearts (legs?) out. There was one child who would laugh and bolt up until the point where he was losing. As soon as anyone overtook him, he'd drop to the ground and throw a tantrum.

After calming him down we all headed inside for group time. They were talking about the planets before they had playtime which everyone spent playing with all the toys I mentioned yesterday.

After that it was lunch fine: home made pizzas. Which was yum. I had a ten minute break to do whatever, but I really had nothing else to do.

We cleaned up the leftover lunch while the kids all napped. (at least they were supposed to.)

More craft followed along after lunch before the kids all went to play outside. After all the fights about shoes, socks and sunscreen. I went out and supervised for an hour or so.

I am legit falling asleep right now. Shall finish tomorrow. Sorry.

Good morning!

Some of the kids got their hair sprayed again while the others ran around on bikes and stuff. Two kids decided to open and ice cream store but neither had skittles ice cream.

The aforementioned child that kept throwing himself to the ground when he lost and the kid that generally won decided to have a rematch which resulted in more tears. In the end I got on one of the trikes and raved against him running, which of course he won. Then we talked about winning and losing and how it didn't matter. He started to get really upset every time he raced (he didn't want to stop, even if there was a minutes break in between for tantrums.)

In the end I threw him over my shoulder and raced the other kid with him on my shoulders. Which we won. And even though we lost one he didn't mind because he was having fun.

I collapsed on the gym mats (they had all those colourful mats like what we'd use in gymnastics class) and lay there for a bit before walking around again. I pushed some kids on bikes, built towers bigger than be with blocks and played in the sandpit.

Then for the last hour or so I was in the kitchen washing up everything. e v e r y t h i n g had to be washed up and wiped down, so I spent the rest of the time there. Not the glamorous end to my work experience I wanted. Meh.

I was anxious because I had about an hour to walk twenty minutes to my aunts, collect my stuff, say goodbye and walk ten minutes to the train station to go home.

My aunt had intended to walk me to the station with her two kids, and so she gave them their dinner first, which took a while. She was encouraging them to eat, going "Kaitlin's going to have to walk alone if you don't hurry up." to which Sam freaked out. "Not alone! She can't go alone!"

We got to the train station in time for me to buy my ticket (I think my cousin thought she'd won the jackpot when all my change fell from the machine) and had two minutes before the train came.

I got stuck at Blacktown for a bit but I made it home okay and was too exhausted to finish this recap.

I still don't know for sure what I want to do. I really thought two eight hour shifts would help me to decide but it's like there's a while new list of pros and cons. I have the opportunity to go back and do work experience in the younger room but I really don't know if I'll do that either.

Stay tuned I guess. :)
