1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Um… there were a few things but I guess one of the main things was going to Cairns. So travelling without my family? Was lots of fun and I so want to go back there in 2012. I also had the house to myself for a few days which really doesn’t sound so dramatic but it was for me. I loved it [although I did miss my family].

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I really don’t think I make any… ever. I try to fix things when they need to be fixed.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My uncle’s sister and my neighbour. Both are gorgeous kids.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No one extremely close to me but we had a couple of deaths at church plus the nursing home fire. No one I knew extremely personally though.

5. What countries did you visit?
Hehe… I think Cairns was as far as I’ve ever travelled.

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
A job. I need money and a life. Maybe not in that order. Also, I need to learn how to drive. Well, I can drive. I just need to write it down in the freaking book and get my Ps so I can see my best friends.

7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 26th - Sea Patrol Premiere
July 12th- Sea Patrol Finale & Harry Potter [Though technically it was the next day for HP]
September 22nd - Graduation
September 25th - Kaitlyn’s Party
November 9th - Last HSC Exam

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I really can’t think of anything. I don’t do much. Finishing school maybe?

9. What was your biggest failure?
Letting myself get caught in the moment and not thinking things through first, leading me to mess up other people as well as myself. *le sigh*

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Um… I was sick really bad just before graduation and was pretty much living next to a bucket. But I got a needle from the doctor which was lots of fun. J

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I really didn’t buy anything this year. Not that I can think of anyway. Oh, my fluffy hoodies. I love my hoodies. J

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My two amazing best friends for sticking by me and even when I can’t tell them what’s wrong they still help me. I love them to bits. Especially for sticking by me this stressful year, in between fights with ex-friends and family members. Thanks guys.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Um, for a while it was one of my now ex-friends, whose behaviour made me feel angry and upset all the time. But now I really just try to ignore them, which they’re not happy about. But I really do feel better now and I’m over it.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Good question. Because someone was taking the coins out of my wallet and replacing them with buttons. L I think most of my went on Boost juices. And my hoodies. I really don’t buy much.

15. What were you really, really, really excited about?
Cairns. I was really looking forward to seeing the Navy boats. I saw two and burst into tears of happiness.
Also, in general, I always look forward to seeing my friends and family.

16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Hehe… “Brother bought a coconut. He bought it for a dime…”

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

a) Happier or sadder? I don’t really know. It’s difficult to say. I feel more free than I did and I’m probably happier, but I feel sadder more often.
b) Bigger or smaller? Probably bigger. I stay away from the scales and the doorway.
c) Richer or poorer? I think richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Studied harder, listened better, thought more and worked for my license.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
FanFiction. Well, I don’t wish I’d not done it, I just wish I had have postponed it during all the exams.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
At my grandmothers. We had to open the presents first to placate the baby cousins before we had lunch, and then after that we spent the whole time trying to get CC2 to eat as much as she could. And more. I wonder if she was sick…

It was a nice day, and I tried not to buy in to CC’s whining. It was a good day.

21. How many one-night stands?
None.

22. Did you fall in love in 2011?
I don’t know yet. I don’t think so.

23. What was your favourite TV programme?
Sea Patrol! Although that was *kinda* sucky this year. Maybe Castle as a close second.

24. How will you see in the New Year?
Either at my neighbours street party or standing on the greasy BBQ like last year. J

25. Do you hate / dislike anyone now that you didn't hate / dislike this time last year?
Hate is a BERRY strong word! I do dislike some people now but I try not to stress too much about it.

26. What was the best book you read?
I don’t know. I just re-read Falling Apart by Jacqueline Wilson, which was quite good. Maybe that? I’ve been reading more fanfiction than books at the moment.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Miley Cyrus!!1!

No, actually, maybe Automatic Loveletter’s new album. Yes, definitely.

28. What did you want and get?
An iPhone.

29. What did you want and not get?
… The same thing I’ve been wanting for three years. But no matter. One day.

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
For Lover’s Only!!! Oh my gosh I love that movie so much!

31. What did you do on your birthday?
Nothing really. It’s just another day. My mum was at work so I just watched Sea Patrol I think.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Knowing that there was another season of Sea Patrol. It’s really sad but that was at the top of my list.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Jeans. Jeans jeans jeans.

34. What kept you sane?
Some would disagree they kept me sane but socks, skittles and Sea Patrol. Not in that order.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Saaaaaage!! Sage Francis, Juliet Simms, Lisa McCune. Oh, and Stana!

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I avoid politics. I didn’t really pay attention.

37. Who did you miss?
My Grandma.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I didn’t really meet anyone new. I got to know some people a lot better but no one really new.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.
Never trust a camel.

And that I really need to think before I act.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

“Beer won’t give you chest hair
Spicy food won’t make it curl
When you think you’ve got it all figured out
And then everything collapses
Trust me, kid.
it’s not the end of the world.”

real life, school, 2011, life, 2012
