If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Fishing in Montana.
I’ve got a great little cabin there and it’s right next to a lake that’s perfect for fishing. There’s no fish in it, but fishing isn’t about catching things. That’s the truth, ask any good fisherman, they’ll tell you it’s not about the fish.
It’s about the peace and quiet. You know how nice actual peace and quiet is? You don’t get that just anywhere. These days with cell phones, Blackberrys and all that other crap, you can only go a few places where there’s nothing and no one.
Now, I like bringing the Team up there. The problem is getting them to go. Carter’s the worst. It takes some serious cajoling to get Carter to come up there. It’s getting hard to convince Teal’c too. He’s got problems with the mosquitoes which are just part of the fishing experience. Daniel has allergies and well, everyone’s sort of spooked by Vala and a fishing pole. The only one who I don’t have to arm twist is Mitchell, but Mitchell likes the team bonding thing.
Mostly, I go alone. I enjoy my peace and quiet. I fish.
