Should be dancing
A lot cooler here today although still in the low thirties - I may actually get some work done.
Rang up to get a quote for a new globe for projector - they've come down - now only $660.
*heavy sigh* Good thing I don't spend any money on going out.
My sister is coming tonight, we are all very excited, she's great company.
My niece went to a party on Saturday. A new friend rang up and invited her. She was excited but a little skeptical and even though we were sure she was being used as 'transport', we figured it would be OK if the party was good. She is still 'the new kid', and wanting to have fun but in a safe way. Anyhow, not only did she end up taking the new friend, but also someone else, and then they picked up yet another on the way. When it was time to go home it took them ages to get organised, and then she got lost. I am giving her a better map of the area. We both agreed that if she was to learn a lesson, this was one of the easier ones.
Just finished a (I hesitate to use the word) workout, to the most excrutiatingly bad (in terms of dialogue) walk aerobics video. Yes, it is a video - it's that old. I used to do it when we were out bush, and it was the easiest thing, I could even talk through the whole routine at the end of it, and that's a good thing. No dieting and I lost heaps and felt great. Today I got SO bored. I usually listen to the iPod and turn down the sound on the AV, but because we have an office on the front of the house, I realised hearing someone thump around next door wouldn't be much fun, so I stuck the iPod in the base and put on a beat mix. Worked up quite a sweat but ended up dancing and occasionally mimicking what was on the screen. Bollywood mixes and hard rock are great for that sort of stuff. Also decided that visualisation was worth a shot - even though I think most of that stuff is arty farty crap. Today I was a Spartan woman and I was kicking arse. Shit - did that work! I may try that again. Instead of Leonides kicking some pansy Persian Envoy into the pit, I was Gorgo kicking and punching my Admin Officer. Extremely satisfying.
