Ok, I finally got some minutes to myself to update this.....sitting here munching pizza as I write! MMMMMM!
Been a bloody hectic weekend.
Tom was off on Friday (non-pupil day)so I didn't have a school run to do. Took him to town and visited the library (poor sods) which is still in a state of disarray, then bought some new art brushes and some watercolour paper to paint my commission on. Tom got some videos and a DVD out of the library, so he spent most of the weekend watching them.
Saturday I had to take Emily shopping for shoes. I hate that job....she has such large feet, larger than normal for ladies, that we always have problems finding suitable school shoes to fit. Anyway, for once we were in luck, they had some size 10s in Brantanos that were wide enough and they were only £20 as well, so we got those. We also had to go choose a book for her. She has won a prize at school for all her hard work and is to be presented with a book of her choice in a couple of week's time! She chose a book called 'Muddle Earth'! It's a kid's parody of Tolkien and looks rather good fun!
Sunday was really busy. In fact I didn't stop all day, save for an hour or so in the afternoon when we sat and watched 'Later with Jools Holland' that we had taped Friday night. It was a good this week. First time I had seen Razorlite and really liked them! Beverley Knight was on too. Saw her a couple of years back and she was brilliant!
My commission photo finally arrived. I am painting a rather lovely tabby and white cat! Got the sketch done and showed it to my customer, who liked it, so tomorrow I shall set-to and start painting it.
Today I had to take my mum to the hearing aid centre. They found she had a recurrence of her ear-infection and she may need to be referred to the hospital for further treatment, as it doesn't seem to want to heal. I am a bit worried about all this if truth be known. Infections aren't nice at the best of times, but in an 88 year old they can be quite dangerous. I am still waiting for her doctor's surgery to ring me back to arrange an appointment, but so far have heard nothing.
Heard indirectly from Trev. He's had all sorts of connection problems, hence his seeming disappearance! He has promised to contact me today, but I guess that is dependant on him getting 'netted' up again! At least he is OK! I was beginning to worry for a while!
Right...almost time to go get the kids from school. Have to say....I am REALLY enjoying this job! Easy run this afternoon. Little Daniel is off sick today and Jamie is getting picked up by his gran, so all I have to worry about is Tom tonight!
And it's stopped raining! Hooray!
