Things are going quite well with mum at the moment. She starts Chemo on Friday which means she can fit in 5 treatments before Christmas in Florida. Her consultant, Dr Khan has been absolutely brilliant and has worked it so mum gets to have this holiday. After the 5th treatment she is going to load her up with a holiday pack (antibiotics, painkillers, anti-sickness tablets, instructions for another doctor, vitamins etc) and then mum can come with us - phew! Now we will can have Christmas and celebrate her birthday as planned and it gives her something to look forward to. She is upbeat and optimisic - she even has her voucher to go and get a wig. Dr Khan says that she will lose her hair but she is ready for it and we will manage together! I am away this weekend but I will see her on Friday after the Chemo and the side effects won't kick in until Monday/Tuesday by which time I will be by her side to be her personal slave 24/7 for whatever she needs ♥
Last weekend was lovely and I spent it with Paul, my family & friends.
On Friday Paul arrived and I was so pleased to see him because I hadn't seem him last weekend. He spoiled me rotten by buying me a new copy of Grease on DVD with a songbook included. I then proceeded to make him watch it, LOL. And sing at him badly.
Paul, Cay & I went to a wedding on Saturday - my friend Claire. We were at the wedding itself, which was followed by the wedding breakfast, speeches and toasts. It was held at Blotts Country Club and was just lovely.

http://www.new.facebook.com/album.php?page=1&aid=152507&id=533325651 We had an hour after the meal to pop home, change and pick up the 'rents. The reception was lovely, but mum got tired quick so we were on the way home for just after 10pm.
Sunday was lovely and chilled and Paul proved how amazing he is by sitting and (kind of) watching Pride & Prejudice. I think he enjoyed seeing Kedleston Hall, Chatsworth & Haddon Hall on the big screen since they're the places we saw on holiday, but I think that's as far as it went. He was probably more amused to see me crying at Jane telling Bingley "yes, yes a thousand times yes" than any of the actual comedy moments in the film itself. But hey! I have the best boy friend in the world cos he watched it and didn't moan once ♥
I am going to Rickmansworth this weekend so I get to see him, yay! And meet his family and go to Whipsnade zoo. This weekend will be so much fun!
