Meme responses! (The Slayers round)
A little late with mine, since RL's not been particularly cooperative, but here's three out of the five meme requests from this entry. These are all Slayers pics.XD I am too transparent.
All three doodles took around the same time to complete, though you might not be able to tell with some of them.@_@
I was really, really cold when I saw dqbunny's response to the meme, so the image of Lina buried under a pile of blankets came immediately to my head. Then I figured, maybe they got married in winter or something and Lina decides to take liberties because Gourry's officially her hubby now. (Ok, she probably didn't need him to be her hubby to whine about the cold.XD) Originally she had a nightcap on too, but I realized that when her distinctive hair's covered up, she doesn't look like Lina.^^; This is because I suck at drawing the poor girl. I also had to change her face like, 10 times, because I also suck at silly expressions. Expressions period. And then there's gypped Gourry in the lower right-hand corner. Gah, I'm sorry, dqbunny, for butchering your favorites.^^; I hope the slightly humorous situation, and Lina's striped woolen socks, make up for it.^^
First time drawing Filia (as opposed to second time drawing Lina)! She's...easier than I expected, thankfully.^^; I have no idea why she's sitting on a swing since it's probably not the best place to enjoy a steaming cup of tea, but I don't pretend to understand the images my brain comes up with. :p And since I like Earl Grey, I thought I'd speak through Filia and have her like it too. *nod* I had a helluva time with her bow, which is awkwardly behind her hand and the teacup. Originally I was going to have her in full priestess regalia (with the orb over the bow), but then it was like, "Screw that." I think it's kinda funny how parts of Filia's outfit's always getting left out by people (usually those ball things that cover up her ears).XD Anyway, here you go, majochan, Filia, tea, and swings! I hope you like. :)
It was a choice between Byakuya (from IY), Kuja (FF9), or Xellos...and, uh, I picked Xellos.XD I kinda balked at the whole, "Oh shit, I'd have to look up those other characters" thing.^^; Anyway, so this is along the lines of the other two since I pretty much got the ideas for all 3 pics simultaneously, if you can believe it. I associate Xellos with books, probably because he's a priest, he's been shown reading, and he's kinda cute with his nose stuck in a book. Picture these as a bunch of potential Claire Bible manuscripts or texts that might hold a clue to the location of a Claire Bible manuscript, and you have Xellos, hard at work! :D I hope you like, moonphased.^^ (Also, since this reminds me of those "I love to read" posters you find in elementary schools & libraries, I've decided to make it fit my "School" prompt in Mazoku Fanart 100. I am just that sneaky.XD)
Oh hey, I just realized how not a single one of these guys have their eyes open. What the...?!
Three down, two more to go! :D Oh man, and then there's all those other Fanart 100 pics that I haven't scanned yet. Serves me right for forgetting the scanner over winter break. :p
